Positive: The pictures of the house do not do the property justice. We booked thinking it looked incredible but upon arrival we were blown away. Ruud was a perfect host , gave us a tour of the house and explained all the amenities and his fancy gadgets! The kitchen is just as it would be at home there was nothing that we required that was not at the property. Our daughter hardly spent any time inside the house she was constantly playing outside in the beautiful garden full of butterflies and birds and OWLS! The property is spotless inside and out. The location is perfect for a peaceful stay close to the town centre and only 1 hour drive to rotterdam city centre. When inside the property Ruud provided an abundance of family games and colouring pencils , we of course could not depart without creating some owl drawings. We will most certainly be back! Thank you so much We will see you in 2027

Every detail has clearly been thoughtfully considered, creating a space that is both comfortable and charming. The garden grounds are truly fantastic—beautifully maintained and perfect for unwinding, whether you're enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink. The facilities are excellent and added to the overall ease and enjoyment of our stay. A special mention goes to Ruud Emmerik, who was a brilliant host. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring guests have the best experience possible, he made our stay even more memorable. We would highly recommend De Ketse Steenuil to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway. We can’t wait to return!

Positive: Beautiful cottage with beautiful garden. All the amenities you need and more. Plenty of games to keep the kids entertained. You may even see some owls and hares in the big back garden. Private parking available and close to Efteling.
