Positive: Very friendly Hotel owner, plenty of space at the former restaurant/ living room of the Hotel to work and to take a (for free) cup of coffee.

Summary: A peaceful hotel in the Drenthe countryside. A good alternative for staying in the city of Assen.

Positive: I was working at the Assen Circuit so after a hectic day it was nice to return to a peaceful location serving excellent dinner. The hosts and staff were always very welcoming and attentive to every detail. Because of the time I was having to leave each morning the only experience I had of breakfast was on the last day and this was lovely and typical with local and home made produce.

Negative: Whilst the wifi was OK downstairs is was very slow in the rooms and as I needed this for work it was the only disappointing element of the stay. Having found such an ideal spot to stay whils working at the race track I learned that the owners may close the restaurant side of the business by next year, which is a shame.

Summary: Excellent accommodation with a superb restaurant in a peaceful, scenic area.
