Summary: Beautiful hotel. Nice location, spacious room with nice balcony overlooking the river. The staff was very helpful. There is a good selection of drinks available in a self-serve fridge. The breakfast was excellent. The only disappointment was dinner. There didn't seem to be any good restaurant options nearby (both places had poor reviews) and the hotel itself only had a small selection of choices on their Imbiss menu. We had turkey schnitzel with fries and some cake for dessert and it was okay, but we had been hoping for a better dinner option.

Summary: I have been staying at Das Waldhaus over the past seven years and the quality of my visit has never lessened. A good price, a clean & comfortable hotel and a warm & friendly reception. The bonus is the excellent breakfast!

Summary: I loved this property! The location was fantastic and scenic. I loved being by the river and the covered bridge. The owners were so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here.

Summary: An excellent place to stay in Forbach and the Schwarzwald! My family had such an awesome stay - the owners are awesome people and made our stay very memorable. They were very helpful with suggestions in the area and for helping with making dinner reservations. The breakfast is one of the best. We will definitely be back!

Summary: Staff were super helpful and accommodating. Room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good with lots of hot and cold options, including chia seeds, nuts and other toppings for yogurt. Would absolutely stay here again.

Summary: Everything about the stay was great: Personal, friendly service from the owner, a comfortable and quiet room, and an extensive breakfast buffet. There are also a couple of outdoor seating areas facing the river and plenty of beer and wine available for purchase from the mini-bar. Glad I found this hidden gem.
