Positive: This is a wonderful hotel! While my friends stayed at L'Auberge, I chose Dar Ayed and loved it. It is run by wonderful, helpful locals from the small town and I don't think the photos do the beautiful place justice. The watchtower is wonderful to climb and get a view (with a friendly cat companion). The rooms were beyond comfortable and very stylish - I was inspired to buy my own beautiful woven bedspread! There is a pool, lots of outdoor hangouts and views for days. The gardens are beautiful with fresh flowers and veg. Finally I had the best meal of my 2 weeks in Tunisia here (and food is a big part of why I travel). An incredible bean stew, appetizers, goat in tajine, dessert, fresh fruit. It was delightful and the staff was so lovely. I felt very safe and well-cared for as a solo female traveller.

Negative: I only wish I stayed longer! Just note you have to pay by cash so bring enough.

Positive: Very peaceful and authentic place. Rooms, dinner, breakfast, view from the terrace, everything about this place made our experience memorable.

Negative: If there is an area they can improve, it would be adding shower curtains. We did not have one in our bathroom and water spreading all over is inevitable without.

Positive: Great location, phenomenal view, the Tamrezet village itself, the service at the property and the staff - absolutely incredible ! Many thanks for offering us that fantastic room we had ! Food for dinner and breakfast was amazing, the room was awesome , beautiful and comfortable ! A lot of facilities - pétanque , pool, library, view tower, swings, chilling areas - all was fantastic!

Negative: We had a bit of smell in our bathroom - but it was soooo negligent compared to everything else around the property , but JFYI for the team if they may want to have a look at the pipe system :)

Summary: Fantastic oasis in the Berber and desert Martian-like surroundings!
