Positive: Quiet location, the collection of hostel style rooms are small but sufficient, it should be noted that they have no heating or AC so plan your stay accordingly. We booked 2 rooms for 3 adults Our room had a double and a single - both hard up again at the walls, the other room had one double. Sharing the double with hubby I kept rolling to the middle and slept poorly. As it was early Jan it was very cold in the morning. The shower water running only the hot tap was warm but not hot and we were given one small towel similar size to a bath mat for 2 ppl to share. Hubby decided to not shower given the water temp and it was only one night. Our son’s room also only had one small towel. Breakfast was a typical one of a boiled egg, yoghurt, dates, a cheese triangle and bread stick cut up served with tea or coffee. The host is really nice, he served comp mint tea upon arrival and kindly showed us around - he is a real asset to the accommodation. For what we paid I felt this was still value for money

Negative: One small towel for 2 ppl No heating (or AC) could be a problem Bed wasn’t particularly comfortable as it dipped in the middle But for what we paid I felt it was appropriately priced

Positive: Great place. Clean, comfortable, good air-con, good wifi. A family business, friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. A one kilometer walk to town along sandy streets. Hot in the heat but I liked being in the residential area with local people out there. Would stay again.

Positive: The room was lovely and I liked the traditional houch style. I also liked the way the garden and the roof terrace were laid out. It was only a 15 minute walk into central Douz so was conveniently situated. Hassan was very courteous and nothing was too much trouble. A really charming and traditional place to stay.
