Positive: The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful cove and very pretty location. The gym and wellness centre was fantastic, especially the outdoor gym - really well fitted out. The breakfast buffet was really good, lots of options and fresh food. The infinity pool is really beautiful and lots of waiters around to bring drinks and food.

Negative: The location means that you're quite limited to staying at the resort, which ties you in to eating and drinking there. The prices felt really high, and after a few days you feel a bit squeezed dry. The restaurant options were all unnecessarily fancy/complicated - there should be at least one place just serving more simple (and cheaper) options. We ate one night at the smartest restaurant option, "Ocean", and were really upset by quite how small the portions were - a starter of king shrimp consisted of one shrimp! It felt unnecessarily mean. The food was mostly tasty, it's just that there needs to be some cheaper/simpler alternative options. The other issue with the resort is that the infrastructure just isn't quite big enough to support the number of rooms. There are two funiculars to transport people around the steep-sided resort and these are very slow. It can take a long time for them to arrive and then deliver you to your destination. There are golf carts as an alternative and these worked most of the time, but we had to wait over 20 minutes on an occasion when we'd booked a taxi, so were 15-minutes late for the taxi. There are not enough sun beds so guests go out and claim them early in the morning. On our first day we didn't realise this and ended up spending the day perched on the end of a sofa at the bar, sharing with someone else. When we arrived we were told to book our dinner reservations in the restaurants as soon as possible - when we did this later that day, we struggled to make any reservations before 8.30 or 9.00, which is no good if you've got small children.

Positive: High standard overall, great location, nice and clean area including villas, intimate atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff in the entire property & restaurants/ bars, overall good food experience (broad variety for breakfast, many options for lunch) but really worth exploring restaurants in Elunda, stunning views from sea view villas, very well equipped gym & heavenly spa area. Some wather sports options available at the beach. Definitely a place to come back :)

Negative: The only point: tight space at the beach, sun beds very close so in high season can be difficult to find a free spot if you don’t come in the morning. Similar with pool area.
