Positive: Whatever in your mind about the old Japanese hotel especially in the manga/anime, this is the place that you want to book. It does look EXACTLY like that! And they have smol onsen that is very nice to me. But with a twist of modern touch like the latest bidet, sensory lights and etc. Not to mention, it is nearby the Saiko Lake! We went there at night, stargazing and get to see Mount Fuji at night is a surreal experience. I would also like to thanks all the staff that worked there, they’ve done the best to explain everything, I’m happy I could enhance my Japanese skills with them. Oh and I LOVE THE BREAKFAST!! We were surprised by things that they prepared for breakfast! I won’t share the photo bcs you have to experience yourself :p

Negative: I honestly have nothing that I don’t like.

Summary: Though it is quite far away from the Kawaguchiko Sta, but this experience is something that we will not forget.

Positive: We like that it is near lake shoji you can have sunrise or sunset. Also people were really nice.

Negative: There were some dusts in some spaces. Also the hot tub was not cleaned. Maybe they just have a lot of visitors.

Positive: Traditional esthetics, hospitable hosts, proximity to the touristic village, great quiet village as a launching point to explore the nearby lakes, onsens, tourist centers, and Mount Fuji of course

Negative: The room heats up a lot and the traditional materials used for the flooring/bedding etc release a very pungeant grassy / humid smell that needs to be aired out. Maybe I'm just not used to the intense smell of natural fibres. The breakfast is very processed and does not have many healthy ingredients / fresh foods.

Positive: The owner is really kind and always ready to help ! The breakfast was delivered every morning on our doorstep and is quite diverse (fruit, yogurt, soup, bread and juice) ! The room was perfect for three persons and we had a nice stay !

Negative: The pillow was a bit too hard and we chose to not use them when sleeping
