Positive: The room was huge (4 of us in Presedential Suit), the roof top pool was never busy, the view from the pool and our bedroom of the harbour was fantastic. The location just being a ferry ride to Valletta but away from crowds with great bars and restaurants on the doorstep made our trip.

Negative: There was a pungent drain smell that got worse in the room the longer we stayed. From the description of the hotel we expected a bar on the roof, there isn’t one but you can order drinks up to the pool until 7pm. Some of the reception staff lacked the initiative you would expect in a hotel of this level, the ladies were far more helpful than the men. No one asked us at any point if everything was ok with our room and when we checked out we weren’t asked this either. Overall it was a lovely building with a very comfortable suite and we liked it slot just a shame about the smell!

Negative: While the staff was amazing, we had an ongoing issue of a faulty lock to our rooom. Every time we left our room and attempted to re-enter we couldn't get in. The staff changed the battery 3 times without success. My husband ended up being late for his golf outing because he couldn't get back in the room. Nothing was done to acknowledge the situation.
