Summary: The backyard pool area is pretty awesome and well maintained and definitely the highlight of the property. The rest of the house had some issues: about 16 lightbulbs were out on arrival to the property and the owner acted like we had 6 heads when we asked him to have the bulbs working. On arrival the toilet was clogged, which was fixed with plunger, but clogged again during the stay for no “stinky” reasons. Also there was a large hole in living room ceiling on our arrival from water damage from the shower above. They did put a covering on that as we understood it happened recently. Some common things we would expect in a VRBO were missing such as cutting boards and shampoo and conditioners. Windows in the bedroom would not close, and the attic bedroom mattress is hard as wood. We didn’t have the best time but the caretaker and owner were around to fix things that needed to be maintained, regardless of their nasty attitudes.

Summary: We had a great time staying at Maurice's property during the Memorial Weekend. We enjoyed the pool all to ourselves with BBQ and Firepit close to the pool. The Pool also was at the right temperature that time. We had requested for it be heated since it was still spring and not that hot yet which he did charge extra. The neighborhood is great too, we had a chance to visit Water Street Market with all kinds of vinatge stores and restaurants.

Summary: Really nice pool and area by it. The house is old and big, well restored. Jim was helpful and welcoming. Top bedroom may be too hot if you go in the summer. Otherwise all good

Summary: Our group of friends gets away from the hustle of the city a few times a year. This house did not disappoint! From grilling by the pool to lounging and watching a movie on Netflix, we were able to detach from every day pressures and fully enjoy a long weekend away. Thanks for the everything! We will be back in the future.

Summary: Great stay! We loved the place. The pictures don't do it justice. It is very spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms in the bedrooms are small, but there is a main bathroom that is very spacious. The pool and the patio was great. Jim is the property caretaker and he was great! Very helpful throughout our short stay. I definitely recommend staying here.

Summary: This 1860s Victorian getaway will not disappoint! The house was beautiful inside and out and the pictures don't do it justice. We found the house very comfortable, inviting, and quiet. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us. The renovations were cleverly done and we appreciated the added private bathrooms in the bedrooms. Yes, they may be small but totally functional and clean. Bring hand towels and toiletries for all the bathrooms. The caretakers are welcoming and attentive, but not intrusive. We would definitely stay here again and enjoyed our time!
