Positive: The cottage was very clean, spacious, very comfortable and attractively decorated. Everything required for a comfortable stay had been provided. The kitchen is well equipped. Very thoughtfully, the owners had provided tea/coffee/sugar and milk and also a delicious Yorkshire fruit cake and ginger biscuits as a treat. Much appreciated! Washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets provided. The bathroom is modern and attractive; good quality toiletries are provided as is toilet paper. The central heating is effective and on a timer, which can be manually overridden if required. Crumble Cottage is in a great location, very close to the main town centre and shops. The bus stop for travelling to Helmsley is outside the property and the one for Pickering and Scarborough just across the road. I can't fault this property and look forward to returning.
Summary: Delightful property in a great location.

Positive: It was comfortable, cosy and easy to be in. I was there for Christmas and the owners had gone to the trouble of decorating with trees and lights- it was so heartwarming and welcoming. Good cooking facilities, great bathroom and shower. The yard looked like it would be lovely to sit in at a different time of year.
Negative: Nothing! It gave me exactly what I needed. Minor point but I couldn’t get my music to play on the speaker even though I downloaded the app, it just wanted me to sign in as the owner, so that might need clearer instructions. Maintenance issue - loo seat was broken and I forgot to write it in the book although I’m sure the cleaners will report it.
Summary: Comfortable, cosy and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Positive: Cosy, comfortable cottage in an attractive market town. Exceptionally clean, thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Parking was on street, but usually easy to park close to the house. The cottage was really welcoming, especially as beautifully decorated for Christmas. A welcome pack of milk and cake was provided, too. Shops and pubs within easy walking distance. We would not hesitate to book again!
Negative: The back patio door was tricky to close and toilet seat wobbly - very minor issues though.
Summary: Cosy, comfortable cottage with lots of thoughtful touches!
