Positive: Great spot on the Ridgeway Trail with good included continental breakfast and well-appointed comfortable room and bed. They provided a nice cookie upon arrival.

Negative: The food in the pub was not fabulous; fries/chips were good but burger was a disappointment. It looked like it had char stripes painted on and it was rubbery, dry, and the char tasted fake. Also, the bartender highlighted a deal with a beer and burger combo; but, did not notify me until the bill came that I had ordered a beer that did not qualify for special.

Summary: Great spot to stay on the Ridgeway Trail w/ comfortable bed & clean bathroom. Pub food is variable.

Positive: It was nice coming back & knowing the location & layout. Last time I came it was summer so quite busy. There were a few people around but it was quiet which was nice. The bed was very comfortable & between some full on days at work & everything being quiet, I think it was one of the best nights sleep I have had in a hotel/away for a while. Really appreciate it!

Negative: The shower/bath was a bit odd as the controls were outside but as it was a glass panel you had to get out to turn it off.

Summary: Lovely, friendly staff, great food, lovely rooms. I will be back.

Positive: The manager was run off his feet but provided fantastic service in the restaurant. The steak and ale pie was home made and delicious! The croissants were warmed at breakfast. Overall a very pleasant stay.
