Positive: The location to Southwell racecourse. Beautiful house. Spotlessly clean. The well in the middle of the kitchen. All on the ground floor. Gorgeously decorated. Everything you need. Lovely gardens.

Positive: Loved it, the style, lighting, decor, floor plan, furnishings. It is so light and airy with lots of space.

Negative: The gravel as stones get stuck in footwear. Driving out of the drive -it’s a blind spot and a mirror will help the driver. It is potentially an accident waiting to happen.

Positive: Great quiet location, comfy rooms with all you needed. Liked the quirky details-feature well in kitchen. Appreciated the G&T! Newark with quaint shops & picturesque castle ruins was pleasant. Close proximity to Newark Air Museum too...

Positive: Charming cottage next to the Staythorpe level crossing, which was very comfortable. Lovely area with nice pubs within a few miles, and close to the very nice town of Southwell.

Negative: Being asked to sign a separate rental agreement, give a security deposit and provide passports through an AI app, which didn't work as it didn't recognise our perfectly valid passports(!), was a pain and didn't set a welcoming tone. Communication was difficult generally, owing partly to delay in response and partly to what seemed to be a series of automated messages which contradicted what we had agreed and already said, and which were therefore disconcerting and confusing. Without all that, it would have had a better score. Also, not marked down for this, but rail enthusiasts nb (and we first found the property on a railway cottage site but it was surprisingly cheaper not to book through that/direct but on booking.com), views of the line are restricted by conifers.

Positive: This lovely property is finished to a very high standard, we were very impressed. Fantastic kitchen and bathrooms, all three bedrooms are ensuite. Super comfy beds. It has a lovely big garden, next to fields, huge expanse of lawn, with trees and bushes. Parking for three cars. Just a fabulous quality accommodation, very highly recommended.

Positive: Everything.. The garden was gorgeous, the shower was amazing, all the bedrooms were lovely and had lots of space. The kitchen had everything you’d need and more from a short-term let.

Positive: The rooms were large, airy and well decorated The welcome pack exceeded previous experiences We could be all the cars on the drive and there was a good sized garden The host kept in touch but didn’t intrude we would go again!

Negative: I had to struggle to find something ……..Difficult to see out of drive to road if on your own. Needs a mirror!
