Positive: Catherine was a marvellous host, with very good communications prior to arrival, clear directions to find the cottage and very responsive to ad-hoc queries. There was plenty of useful information in the cottage for our stay and visits to the local area. The pretty Garden Cottage was perfect for our needs: a quiet location for a restful stay as both of us in need of a retreat! We appreciated the spacious open plan living room with kitchen/diner and loved the bright rural outlook front & back. It was a bonus to be close to Allington Farm Shop for both the wide range of delicious groceries and the excellent Cafe. Highly recommend a visit to nearby Castle Coombe village and, if in Chippenham town centre, a meal at La Vecchia Orsa restaurant.

Negative: As mentioned before, the WiFi signal wasn't strong enough for streaming at the weekend. Generally though, it was fine. The bedroom is compact however more than made up for by the stylish shower room.

Positive: Cozy and quiet. Surrounded by nature. Great facilities as well!

Negative: Not much really. Just be aware of the bus times if you’re using public transportation and buy some foods to heat or cook as well because it’s far from the city centre. However, there’s a local pub who serves delicious foods so that can be taken care of.
