Positive: We really love the Mill and its facilities are excellent. Fabulous location with wonderful walks nearby…we now return each year. Starlink WiFi is a bonus and the town of Ballater nearby is a lovely town with a wide range of shops, takeaways and restaurants.

Summary: Lovely family holiday in a beautiful location…we are always sad to leave.

Positive: Amazing house, great location and brilliant garden with plenty of seating and sun loungers too. Pet friendly so enabled us to bring our dog along. Fresh eggs for sale too which were delicious. Comfy beds and high standard of furniture, fixtures and fittings. Short drive from Ballater

Positive: The location, the interior and the privacy. Oh, and the very comfy bed.

Negative: I liked everything. Okay, there were a few minor niggles, but they didn't impact on our enjoyment of the accommodation.

Positive: Beautifully and artistically designed.

Negative: It wasn’t well thought out in terms of day to day living. Two examples - there was nowhere for the guests in the downstairs bedroom to hang their clothes and instead there was a very big but impractical set of drawers. In the living room it was beautifully laid out but again it was only practical for 2 people to watch the telly in a house that held 6.

Summary: A lovely setting and a wonderful cottage. A few minor modifications and I would rate it as excellent.

Positive: The Croft was comfortable, clean, warm and modern in a beautiful and very quiet location. It is ideal for access to the many footpaths across the Cairngorms and to a number of tourist attractions such as Balmoral Castle and Royal Lochnagar Distillery.

Negative: A very small point but possibly more shelving needed in the bathrooms.
