Positive: This is a several generations old family farmhouse. Don't let "old" fool you. It's updated and very well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook several meals. The dining table in the conservatory was perfect for sharing meals and games played late into the evening. We greatly appreciated the use of the washing machine! The location was perfect for visiting Galway. Though no public transportation comes out that far, it's only about a 25 minute drive into the city with plenty of parking. There is an excellent grocery store and restaurants in Athenry, just 10 minutes away. Oh, you have to eat at the Golf Club while you're there. Very friendly service. The food comes out fast and it's quite good. We were glad to finally meet the owner, Noel Kelly, after a few months of messaging via the booking dot com app. He grew up in that house and knows the area like the back of his hand. He's got great recommendations for restaurants and is helpful if you find you need something additional at the house... like an extension cord. :-). We couldn't have asked for better hosts!

Negative: Bedside tables would be helpful but we made do with folding chairs we found in the kitchen. We also didn't like that we only stayed there for 3 nights. Really, we should have stayed at least a week.

Summary: A gem of a house outside Galway.

Positive: The house is very beautiful and the beds are good. The farm near the house is not a problem, we don't hear anything.

Negative: The main problem in this house is the shower, even if we used one shower at a time, it was very difficult to fix the temperature. With 2 bathrooms, it's a shame you can't use the 2 showers at the same time.

Positive: Everything was clean and tidy.

Negative: We visited the place during winter, therefore it was pretty cold outside. However, it’s been brought to our attention just before check-in that the boiler was to be turned on every once in a while (including during the night). We then had to turn the boiler back on 3 times during the night just for the heaters to keep working. Also, even though there are 2 showers available, they cannot be used all at once (electric shower modules). Pretty annoying when you’re a group of 7.

Summary: Rough cold stay in a lovely house in a lovely place !

Positive: The house is very big and clean , there was available from cleaning products to tampons and even fire woods. A few board games , a quitar, and a large bluetouth speaker

Negative: House is a bit cold , very cold floors , we ve been with todlers there and i thought it is a bit cold for them. Also in the glass room is a lot of condenses and floor is getting wet
