Fish and hike during the day then relax at night to a nice camp fire while star gazing in a perfect sky with no light pollution. You will never see the Milky Way so clearly again. Creekside Cottage is also adjacent to a county park with no overnight camping but features a play area for kids.

-propane for grill and firewood are not provided with this rental. Please bring your own firewood/buy it in local town. There will be a tank at property that can be filled in town as well.

Summary: Very clean hot tub, beautiful area, comfortable beds, plenty of dishes in kitchen, variety of board games, and hair dryer in bathroom! However, no soap in upstairs bathroom, hot tub cover is broken, no salt, no extra trash bags, lots of wasps outside the back and front doors, and the shower leaks. Still had an amazing time and would come back again. Plenty of seating options outdoors and inside. Lots of dead bugs under beds. Hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed the fire. Steep stairs!!

Summary: The shower leaks, also doesnt shut off. This has caused black mold in the bathroom floor. The A/C didnt work the last day we were there. The hot tubcover hinge was broken and the hot tub was open when we arrived. It seemed dirty and has not been maintained. Beautiful property, Beautiful location. Lot of small things that could be easily fixed and we would go again if they were.

Summary: I hate to leave a bad reveiw but the lack of maintenance definitely made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. As stated in another review, the hot tub was mangled up which left the top difficult to open. The shower in the bathroom did not shut off completely so there was constant noise from that (not just a drip). The floor in front of the shower has rotted from the constant water dripping and never being able to dry. The back door to access the hot tub, the handle was broken as stated in a previous review as well. The area is great and very peaceful. The firepit is nice and relaxing and the hot tub is nice to enjoy the nature once you can get the top off of it. The trout fishing is awesome with many places to try within a 30 minute drive. The wildlife is abundant in the area. With some maintenance this would be a great place to stay.

Summary: We love this property and have visited 10 times over the past 8 years. We enjoy the location with direct access to the stream and proximity to the state forest. The cabin layout is cozy and works well even with three young children. Unfortunately, recent visits have left us feeling like the quality and level of upkeep are diminishing. When we arrived this past weekend, the back interior door handle was completely broken, and the front screen door handle fell off moments later -- leaving us briefly unable to exit the cabin. We hunted through the basement for tools and spent 30 minutes repairing the screen door and determining the back door unfixable. The hot tub is torn on both sides, perhaps from the cover blowing off in recent storms? The kitchen drawers and cupboards are jumbled and messy, and the microwave door barely opens. The bones of the cabin are still solid and it was clean, but it's sad to see such a wonderful place become undermaintained.

Summary: We plan a getaway at least once a year to decompress and specifically look for a place that offers an outdoor hot tub with a view. High winds prior to our arrival damaged the hot tub cover lift, but we were able to wedge a couple of boards against the HT so we could more easily manage moving the cover. While Creekside cottage does have a nice view from the HT, the picture in the ad (as of this posting) is not the hot tub/view at Creekside cottage (hot tub is set near the front of the cabin with stairs and cabin on one side, privacy fence blocking the road on another, and views looking towards the steep bluff with stream running below - can't really see the stream from the HT). The cabin was clean and provided most needed necessities. It's too bad they didn't build the cabin with larger windows or glass sliders to take full advantage of the surrounding views it has to offer - stream and rocky bluff to the west and sloping hillside to the east. We did figure it out, but something to note is that the thermostat on the main level controls the heating upstairs while there's a separate thermostat in the basement that controls the main level. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or re-book Creekside cottage in the future.

Summary: My husband and I had amazing weekend getaway at the Creekside Cabin. We were so happy to unplug from the rest of the world and enjoy coffee on the porch, listening to the birds, drinks by the babbling creek and the hot tub was the highlight of it all. The cabin was beautifully appointed and the kitchen was stocked for the ease of cooking our meals. The weather was perfect for cracking the windows and feeling the cool breeze at night. We also explored a hiking trail nearby. We will definitely be back to share it with family next time.

Summary: Cabin was full of dead flys and a lady bug infestation. There was a mouse nest in the draw of the bed side table in the main guest room which was very unpleasant to find. Hot tub exterior was quite damaged. Listed a ‘full stocked kitchen’ which only had 2 knife options which were both duller than spoons.
