Positive: Fruehstueck exzellent! Lage sehr gut f Isle of Skye aber auch “off Island” Unternehmungen. Host sehr freundlich, aufmerksam u hilfsbereit.

Negative: Immediate surroundings around house not so well looked after/groomed. Ugly shed right in front of door. Room very small, no seating possibility other than bed, but kind host allowed us to use her own space.

Summary: Excellent place to explore Skye and surroundings being looked after by very friendly host.

Positive: The breakfasts were prepared personally by the owner in her kitchen with a view of the ocean. We enjoyed hearing the history of Creag Dubh and other local places of interest.

Positive: Our room was warm and comfortable. Our own private bathroom was just a few steps down the landing. It had a good shower and a warm radiator for the towels. The breakfast was good and we had a wide choice. The coffee was excellent and there was a good choice of fruit. Kate let us use her dining room for a takeaway on one of the evenings. You could ask Kate for a small bottle of fresh milk for tea and coffee in your room. The B&B is a short drive from Skye. Kate was a lovely host.

Negative: As we travelled in October finding food was difficult particularly on the Monday night. Many places are closed on Monday. Some of the restaurants websites were not up to date and many need booking. Kate explains this in her information pack. Red Skye Restaurant on Skye saved the day on Monday as it was open but it quickly filled up. You need to plan ahead.

Summary: We had a very nice stay here, very friendly and it was an interesting place to visit.

Positive: Home was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Room was cosy but comfy. Because you need a car and there are narrow stairs to the room we opted to leave our luggage in thbe preparede car and just bring an overnight bag in. That worked well and meant the room wasn't cluttered. Good shower. Plockton , short drive. Inn was nice for meal and walk around town. Only a fw minutes drive onto Skye where we spent a great day.

Negative: Be prepared to drive a few km's for dinner as advised by Kay. Property is a bit out , but if you have a car, no problem.

Summary: Fed well, slept well, hot shower! The necessaties of travel😉

Positive: Kate was a very welcoming and friendly host that immediately made us feel at home. The room was perfect and the bathroom facilities were immaculate. The breakfast was delicious and the dining area lended a cozy atmosphere in which to meet and converse with the other guests. The view from the bedroom window also offered spa rules views over the adjacent bay and isles of Skye and Raasay.

Negative: Location of the B&B is only accessible by car
