Positive: Closeness to the State Park (you can walk in and hike there). Quiet area. Great yard for children to plan outside in.

Negative: Couldn't find a small dustpan and broom. Had to sweep up with ones too large. Advertised as having washing machine, but it didn't.

Positive: amazing location! and more than pet-friendly, this is a pet's paradise! big beautiful yard for dogs to run around with cool dog door, an awesome firepit, and a beautiful deck. Also, the showers were very nice.

Positive: Location close to a wedding but further from town. Close to deception pass. No view. Great place for staying with a dog, large yard/deck.

Negative: Primary bathroom needs updating. Beds in other 2 rooms were super uncomfortable. Main room, kitchen and hallway were updated. Carpet in bedrooms are definitely worn. No dishwasher. No access to washer/dryer. No iron (needed as there was a wedding). One of the bedrooms was missing a screen. This was important because the air flow through the place was poor just by layout - the ceiling fans only worked with light on (remote didn’t work in one of the bedrooms so had to use light switch for on/off of fan which was tucked behind the remote holder. No other fans in the house - when I got there - temp inside was 83 outside 66 - only 2 small windows that opened in front of house and one small window in kitchen. Luckily able to borrow fans from family on the island - or it would’ve been difficult to cool down. French doors in kitchen opened but couldn’t keep open due to bees/bugs flying in.

Summary: Wish there were nicer rentals that allowed dogs.

Positive: Short hike through the neighborhood to get into Deception Pass Park. Lots of towels in closet.

Negative: Felt like a budget motel. No toaster or toaster oven. No bath mat for shower. No mixing bowls. Dull knives. No dishwasher or dish pan in 3 foot rectangle sink. Tiny dish strainer in sink. Only 2 dish towels for drying. No dish rag to wipe counters. Lots of cobwebs on light fixtures. No bedside tables- just padded stools. Active wasp nest on walkway by door. Dead and decaying bird in unkempt flower bed by front door. Hornet nests in garage eaves above garage door. No laundry facility. No aluminum foil, wax paper, parchment paper or plastic bags to wrap a sandwich to take on hike.

Summary: Good location but the amenities are lacking and the property has been neglected.
