Summary: Howard and Linda provided a wonderful atmosphere. So very cozy, well appointed, and comfortable. We stayed a month and we’re very sad to leave.

Summary: Our stay at the Cottage in Trail exceeded our expectations. It was warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped in and the twinkling lights here and there added to the festive atmosphere during the holidays. We had everything we needed and we enjoyed coming "home" each day after snowboarding at Red Mtn. and making a home cooked meal and relaxing without a care. We also enjoyed the view of the river and the lights of the bridges. Penny communicated with us quickly and we were happy to be able to park directly across the street from the unit. Thanks for everything Penny!

Summary: Difference of opinions between husband and I. I liked it. It is quaint, nostalgic and not fancy but comfortable. Has basic kitchen with dishwasher and full sized fridge and washer dryer. Bedroom large but no door. Location is funky. Terraced street like in Europe with huge variety of old style homes. Easy walk to downtown Trail with great grocery store Ferraros and local museum, also to pedestrian bridge which goes across river to liquor store and Safeway. Drive to Red Mtn about 20 - 25 min. Bed comfie. Place is unique. Called a cottage which suits description. My husband did not appreciate its older vibe.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Penny and Howard. The place was super clean, had everything we needed and tons of cookware in the kitchen, and spectacular views of the Columbia river and the mountains. Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: The house was clean, cozy, and had lots of little touches to make it feel like home. I don't think the photos on VRBO do it justice - the view on the back balcony was SPECTACULAR and I could have spent hours looking out at the mountains and river. The house had everything I needed and Howard & Penny were very responsive. Bed was comfy, too! Overall, amazing stay and I'm so glad I picked this place. Thank you! :)

Summary: We enjoyed our stay so much. The house is perfectly sweet and just right for two people. We enjoyed walking to and from downtown to go to restaurants or to walk the bridge loop. We loved walking all over the neighborhood and exploring the quirky streets and staircases of Columbia Heights. The kitchen was great and the bed and bedding were very comfortable and luxurious. We had such wonderful time.
