Charming, clean and comfortable 1000 sq ft. 2-bedroom, sleeper couch, 1 1/2 bath cottage with outside shower located at the very end of the Ocean Side of Atlantic Avenue so there are no streets to cross. It's a short walk down a peaceful Live Oak tree-canopied pathway to the practically private beach. We are situated in a residential neighborhood so there are few tourists on the beach. If you need to accommodate a large family group, this duplex has another cottage available on the other side to sleep a total of 10 guests with children. See "B" VRBO #7341307(Beachy Keeny Cottage).
Discount given for 7 or more days during off season stays.
We only rent to families and forbid parties and group gatherings of any kind. Security Cameras monitor the property and any excess guest occupancy after 9:30pm or noise violation is cause for immediate termination of stay. Maximum sleeping restricted to families of 4 adults and 2 children.
You have access to the fenced-in back patio which hosts a small deck, charcoal grill, patio table seating 6 with chairs. The interior of the cottage is tastefully decorated and comfortable and includes all linens, bath towels, toiletries, and kitchenware.
We have FIOS Internet and Verizon Cable Television., 3 smart televisions, gas fireplace, a/c, heat and ceiling fans. There are 2 bedrooms on the lower level with queen beds. The pull-out couch has a full mattress.
There is a separate laundry room ( clothes washer and dryer) / beach gear room with beach-towels. umbrellas, beach chairs, cart, toys and even surf boards.
Newer living room furniture, full size appliances, freezer with ice maker, electric stove, microwave and all the kitchen amenities you might need. Sorry, no dishwasher.
Three-mile drive to the beginning of the boardwalk, The Cavalier Hotel with fine dining and all the other activities of Virginia Beach. So many fun activities in the area. Just to name a few are First Landing State Park at 64th street and other side of Shore Drive, Cape Henry Lighthouse is walking distance to escort parking area, The Virginia Beach Aquarium, I-Fly indoor skydiving, TopGolf, movie theaters, bowling, music venues, are all also very close. The list goes on and on.

Summary: I needed a place close by a 5 day class I was taking. The house had everything I needed. The host was great at communicating with me and answering questions. Even though the weather wasn't ideal for the beach, I enjoyed how easy and close it was. I miss walking every day on the beach. I even made a local friend on my walks! They have lots of things to use on the beach in the shared laundry room. This is a duplex with a shared laundry room. I had the first few days alone, but when the other guests arrived, I didn't really notice them. I did like the other unit's outdoor area better. It was bigger and had Adirondack chairs which I love. My complaints were There is a slight old house smell. they do have an air purifier. If you are very sensitive with allergies, this may be an issue. Also the early morning cars entering Ft Story gate which is near the house bothered me. I am a light sleeper, and I ended up switching to the bedroom away from the road. Water pressure was a little light in the shower but good everywhere else. Main bathroom may be a little tight for tall people. This is very sweet cottage and I think most people would be very happy.

Summary: Usually, we book at the Virgina Beach Boardwalk but this time, we wanted to try something different and decided for North Beach - it was a perfect stay. We enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood and relaxed atmosphere at the beach. The cottage had all amenities we needed, was super-clean, well maintained and decorated very tastefully with a beach theme. Summary: We loved our stay here! The outdoor patio is so cute and the inside is cozy without feeling cramped (except maybe the bathrooms - those are small but we made it work). The kitchen is super roomy and we LOVE the location! It’s in a quiet, private neighborhood and the walk to the beach takes less than 5 mins. We had a great week!

Summary: Pros: We love the north end location of this property. Access to beach is great. Living area is a good size. Making arrangement and getting information/communication very easy. Generous closet space. Cons: Bathroom toilet space too tight for my tall family, and shower has very low pressure. One towel rack coming off bathroom wall, so unusable. Pantry moths in kitchen and spreading through house--easily solved problem. Kitchen lacks pitcher. Several bedroom dresser pulls come off when pulled.

Summary: A cute cottage that is just a short walk to the beach and away from the traffic of downtown Va beach. It is also close to wildife refuges, which was perfect for us. We are hoping to go back later this year.
