This historic barge board cottage on private property has a covered gazebo, wraparound screened-in porch, outdoor deck and walking paths through the woods to see foliage, squirrels, and birds. Great place to experience the beauty of the wooded landscape and get away from it all. Ample parking. Nice set up for guests who need two separate areas. Kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to prepare a gourmet dinner or something simple to enjoy on the deck or screen porch. There are four bedrooms: two in the main house and two in the guest house. Summary: The host Merry was super informative and kept us in the loop when is SNOWED in Louisiana (never happens). All was good at the house though thank goodness. Easy directions to get in. The heat worked fantastic (not always the case in older homes) and the bed was super comfortable. We are going back in December and are going to book this house again!
