Located less than a mile from Hoodsport, there are restaurants and grocery/gas nearby. However, if you're looking for solitude, you can find that here too. Summary: We had a great time! The house and yard were perfect for a family getaway. We used the firepit every night to cook meals and toast s'mores. The fireworks shows up and down the canal were entertaining both nights. Also, location is great - super close to Hoodsport and a short drive from Hama Hama Oyster Saloon.

Summary: Jesse was a great host to work with, he responded promptly to all my questions. The home was clean and charming. The space is great for up to two families - adults in the two bedrooms and kids up in the loft. We loved swimming in Lake Cushman, hiking in the Olympics and boating on Hood Canal during the day and then returning to cook on the open fire next to the water in the evenings. Collecting oysters off the beach and cooking them up on the fire was a highlight! So much fun! We look forward to returning.

Summary: we had a lovely summer week taking advantage of the nice outdoor space watching the seals swim by, cooking over the fire pit and on the grill, and sticking our toes in the water. a compact and very nice setup for a couple + small toddler - waterfront but a "buffer zone" between the deck and tide, an upstairs area perfect for kids, and nicely renovated/furnished downstairs. easy access to hiking and lake cushman too. we'd love to return.
