Positive: We had a nice basement with everything we needed. We only slept there. It’s great value for the price, and the house is on a nice, quiet street.

Negative: The house is well located; however, it can be pretty challenging if you plan to commute to Manhattan. The buses don’t always stick to the schedule, and the train was also delayed, arriving already packed. We took Uber a couple of times, which was quite expensive. It didn’t make sense to stay so far away to save money on commuting. Next time, we’ll look for something closer.

Positive: I thought the host was quite accommodating.

Negative: I wouldn't describe the place as cozy. I thought it was more scrappy. Maybe because it's NJ (which makes it closer to NY), but I didn't think i got value for my money. Also, while it was generally okay, it didn't seem like the place was cleaned ahead of my arrival. I also had an issue with the shower pressure. The bathroom is also quite small. The washing machine and dryer had weird smells. Overall, I didn't like it much.

Summary: I wouldn't return.

Positive: Premises were very clean, very accommodating. Shower is small but it provides the basics and basic toiletries in the event you forgot something (very thoughtful). Area is in vicinity NYC, the venue met our needs.

Negative: Not a big deal but the room offers all amenities you could ask for in an apartment to include a coffee machine but no coffee was available. It was a rude awakening. Lol

Positive: Great Host, good space which we had to ourselves the whole time. Mabel was lovely and was on hand should we have needed her for anything. There's also a nice park at the end of her road that's nice to sit in in the morning. The apartment was spacious and perfect for our needs. Easy to get into NYC, there's a bus a few streets away that goes directly there.

Negative: Area was a tad rough near the main streets but everyone was friendly enough.
