Positive: Communication beforehand was very good. All instructions clear. Any questions I asked were well answered. The owners are very friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed. It was very interesting to learn about the farm and the history of the cottage. Cottage has 2 good sized bedrooms, 2 separate bathrooms and a downstairs loo. Lounge is vey comfortable. It is geothermally heated and was nice and warm. The provision of a fireplace makes the lounge and kitchen diner extra cosy. Cottage very well equipped with enough crockery and silverware to allow dishwashing daily or to entertain. We used the BBQ and had some guests attend.

Negative: We moved the outside furniture to be better protected from the wind, but in April we were very happy to be able to eat outside. The hot tub is a great asset, but would be even better if there was a window on the back wall to allow natural light in in the day time. The hot tub had to be cleaned for next rent and so we finished by 7pm, which was explained in advance. It was not an issue, but others might find it restrictive. There was noise from the nearby A1, but we did not find it a problem

Summary: Well provisioned cottage with friendly owners in a nice part of North Nottinghamshire.

Positive: Wow, I’m not very often lost for words but this place is incredible. The attention to detail, spotlessness and just general surroundings are incredible. Nothing was too much effort. I Extended our stay with no problems for an extra night (we didn’t want to go home actually!) No loose fittings or even so much as marked paintwork (as per other Airbnb type properties we have stayed in). The Hot Tub was a really welcome bonus! I’m sorry if we wore it out! 🤣 the condition overall was so neat, tidy and modern thought it was converted 6-12 months ago not five years ago. Nicely maintained grounds too. Without showboating or sugar coating it too much we’ve travelled all over the world and the U.K and you’ve nailed the art of a farm stay. Thank You Lindsey, Mark, David, Hannah and anyone else behind the scenes for making us so welcome. We will be back!

Positive: Cowslip is a beautiful property, in a lovely little location. We enjoyed everything from walking through the door and finding the welcoming touches, to the evening spent in front of the log fire. The property was immaculately clean and the hot tub was pre-warmed ahead of our arrival. The owners were accommodating of a further request and made us feel very welcome. We would love to visit again

Negative: We had to be out of the hot tub by 8pm on our last night. We love a hot tub and would have stayed in it all evening.

Positive: The property was perfect for a small family or bigger family (if you book both properties). The property had wonderful character, lovely design throughout and immaculate. Loved the tasteful little touches like sliders, and hot tub towels separate to the other towels etc. kitchen utensils were sufficient to cook a good meal with. Warm through out the property during cold January. Hot tub was immaculate so clean, and so so peaceful there. We want to come back soon. Hostess was fabulous with checking in. Making sure everything was ok.

Negative: Loved it all.
