Summary: Not a very good value for the price. My wife and I did not sleep well due to noisy portable AC unit and overly used mattress (we both sunk into a valley). The breakfast selection was a bit eclectic with pretty much only Scandinavian offerings. Food at the restaurant was good and the lodge and restaurant staff were very good. The amenities (games, puzzles, brochures, etc.) were very nice and the lobby/sitting area was nice with a great wood burning fireplace.

Summary: Our room was immaculately clean, roomy, and with a balcony overlooking Lake Superior. I prefer a hot breakfast to their Scandanavian buffet, but the buffet is well done. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enthusiastically recommend this lodge.

Summary: Beautiful lodge on Lake Superior with easy access to many different hiking trails. Our room had a balcony with wonderful view of the lake. Only critique is that I wish they would improve their continental breakfast.
