Summary: This beautiful lock wood home was so peaceful and private up on the hill. It felt very safe and comfortable. There was plenty of room for 8 of us. It really felt like another home away from home. It had everything you could need and more. Our kids enjoyed feeding the horses and playing chess. Would definitely stay again. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Summary: Had a lovely stay, The house worked well for our large family! saw the most beautiful sunsets and the animals are really friendly! Would recommend for a peaceful getaway. Quite a trip to Napier/Hastings though .. overall was a lovely stay!

Summary: Child friendly accommodation, friendly horses kept the kids(and adults) entertained, huge indoor and outdoor space. The house had everything you may need, and if you need anything else the owner Christine was very quick to respond. The weather was not the best when we went there but the house had books, toys, tv to keep us all busy. All in all a great home away from home. Oh and did I mention that Christine was awesome? The kids loved chatting with her about their first (and her 20+ years!) countryside living experiences. We will be back!

Summary: Enjoyed a long weekend here with our 3 little ones (4 and under), they absolutely loved it! Saying good morning to the sheep and horses every morning and watching the amazing sunrise/sunsets - we couldn’t ask for more! The trek to Shine Waterfall (about 30min drive away) was also incredible. - a must do if in the area! Thanks Christine for an amazing stay 😊

Summary: We were really impressed by this place! It had a lovely warm and clean feel to it, with beautiful outlooks onto the farm. Christine was a fantastic host. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a getaway with a group of people. Lots of walks to do around the area and places to explore (or perfect to stay indoors with games and books on wet days like we did!)

Summary: We stayed at this lovely Lockwood house for 3 nights and loved the space, the sounds of birds and lambs . The bathroom may be a bit dated, yes, but it was fully operational and exceptionally clean. It is one hour drive from the next big town, which may be of disadvantage for some, but it was a plus for us because we love driving through beautiful scenery. The lemons were ripe and we were encouraged to use them. I saw other fruit trees, but the apples were not ripe during our stay. I also found plenty of herbs planted next to the back door. All in all a comfy farm house. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay there!
