Country Elegance is in the NC Blue Ridge Mountains near West Jefferson and just off the New River with river access & end of road privacy on 7 acres and joining State Park Property. Offering 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths.
Main Level:
This lavishly furnished home offers hardwood floors throughout. The great room boast a floor to ceiling stone fireplace w/ gas logs, large Smart TV with surround sound & Blueray DVD player. Enjoy the natural light and mountain views from the multiple windows and French door sets. Dining for 10 is open to the custom kitchen with stainless appliances, wine cooler, dishwasher, gas cook top, ice maker, kitchen aide oven, blender, coffee maker, toaster, and toaster oven. The main level features a Master Suite with a queen bedroom set, bath with double sink, shower and vanity.
Upper Level:
Opens to a loft overlooking the great room, it features a desk area perfect for working. Upstairs also incudes a full bathroom. Second bedroom with 2 twin beds and the third bedroom with a queen bed are also located on the upper level.
Lower Level:
Spacious gameroom offering seating area with sleeper sofa, Smart TV with Satellite, DVD/VCR player, large game table for cards & board games, foosball table. 4th bedroom with queen bed. 5th bedroom with full bed. Full bath on this level. Walk out to the lower patio.
Outside enjoy the mountain views from the open deck with picnic tables or covered deck with seating. Step out through the yard and enjoy the custom outdoor fireplace and wood burning fire pit. Firewood gladly provided. Walk down the path to a private pond on the property. Head back down to the community entrance and enjoy community river access at the gazebo OR at the entrance of the community at Kings Creek State Park river access with bath house. Just across the roadway is River Camp USA which offers a small store and kayaks & tubes.

Summary: The property is very hard to get to did not realize the road was gravel and windy and if you miss a turn at night, you’re lost. It’s a nice cabin, but it does have a lot and I mean a lot of stuffed animals on the walls most cabins up there that I’ve seen that all have at least one or two deer but that basement there’s not an empty space on the wall between animals and other displays. The walkway to get into the front door is very difficult for older people. A lot of these sheets are stained, but everything was clean.

Summary: The property was located in a great area, secluded but within 25 minutes of grocery stores and Walmart. We saw multiple deer on the property and enjoyed using the outdoor fire pit area which was a perfect size for our group. The house could use a deep cleaning as it appeared clean upon our arrival but once we settled in we noticed the kitchen cabinets were very dirty and the sofa area was as well. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to cook or bake (except the food of course). One thing to note the main living room only has space for 5 people to sit so if it’s a rainy day and you have multiple people in the house (as we did) you cannot all be in the same room comfortably. Entrance to the house is also precarious as there is no sidewalk to enter, only mulch with some flag stones that are easy to trip on. I mention this in case you have older adults in your party as we did. The stones move easily and my elderly parents tripped multiple times especially walking into the house at night when it is very dark. The basement area has a foosball table which we enjoyed but the area feels cramped with one sofa, a recliner and a picnic table. Linens and towels were not in the best condition and should all be replaced. Overall this is a nice property with room for improvements, proximity to the river is good and the area is lovely.

Summary: We very much enjoyed being with our children and grandchildren. The outdoor fireplace pit and fireplace was a perfect gathering in the evening. Improvement could be made as far as a view. Not like pictures. The trees have grown and conceal most Mountain View’s.

Summary: The cabin is incredibly well kept and absolutely stunning. It’s located in a perfect area just far enough from town that you are truly separated but also can have some great day trips into town. There are some things I would have loved to have more access too even if i had to sign waivers or something but overall I am extremely happy with the house itself and the property management company that runs it. I would 100% stay there again in the future and recommend people to stay there.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this property! We had three families and were able to put each family on their own floor (upstairs, main, basement). The main floor was perfect for those in your family that need to stay on one level. The house was well decorated and fully equipped with everything we needed. Close to the river and shopping. Beautiful porch and great fire pit. We would highly recommend this property!

Summary: A truly breathtaking view on top of the mountain - short distance away from the river and West Jefferson. But not such a short distance away from skiing.... The cabin was eccentric and beautiful. A great getaway for any family.
