This cottage is perfect for a couple or small family looking to enjoy quality time in a lakeside setting year-round. In the summer enjoy kayaking (2 included in rental), paddle boarding (1 included in rental), fishing, swimming, and boating. There is a boat launch located on North Scott Lake and access to private dock just steps from the front of the cottage. This space offers two bedrooms and sleeps up to 5 comfortably. The Master Bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom is equipped with a bunk bed with a single on top and double on the bottom. Each bedroom has a television with streaming capabilities/ROKU. The open floor plan offers space to enjoy time together with lots of morning sunlight overlooking the canal and includes a stocked kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, full size refrigerator, small appliances such as toaster and coffeemaker, dishes, pots/pans and utensils. A large deck offers plenty of gathering space outdoors to enjoy the scenery or meal al fresco!
Along with private waterfront access and dock, there is also shared beach access located just a short walk/bike ride on South Scott Lake with sandy bottom and raft, perfect for a day of swimming and picknicking.
The cottage is located less than 5 miles from the Kal-Haven trail - perfect for avid bike riders or cross country skiers. It is approximately 25 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo offering plenty of dining experiences and breweries (hometown to Bell's Brewery!) and approximatley 20 mintues from South Haven, a beach town located on the beautiful coast of Lake Michigan. There are also plenty of other options to explore in the area such as farm to table dining, local wineries, blueberry picking, apple orchards and more (check out BBQ at The Farm at Bloomingdale just 5 minutes away). There are two ski hills (Timber Ridge and Bittersweet) located within a 30 minute drive and several golf courses, such as Cheshire HIlls, Lake Cora, Heritage Glen, and Hawk's Head.

Summary: This was a great little lake house for our girls trip! The house was clean and updated. Great view of the lake and very quiet. Beds were very comfortable too. This house was a great location, within an hour of all the areas of Michigan we wanted to visit. It was only about a 20 minute drive to South Haven, which had a beautiful beach area. The homeowners were very easy to communicate with and quick to respond with any inquiries I had. It was the perfect house for our getaway!

Summary: A friend & I were in the area for a few days to attend an event and wanted a serene place to stay. This was it! Well furnished, everything was clean and tidy. Not the Ritz Carlton, but exactly as described. The weather was nice for sitting outside and the neighborhood was quiet. The only negative was the water-it has a lot of iron in it. There is a water softener but we still didn't like the taste so we bought bottled water. No biggie. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: This place was great for a family vacation before school started. Little smaller than we thought but it still worked for us. Really enjoyed that we had access to kayak. Neighbors we super friendly also. Easy to find and location was good.

Summary: The cabin was adorable, it fit all of our needs and was priced well. The owners had kayaks and a paddle board which were great. We did not go to the swimming area but everything was well maintained. Rural setting around a beautiful little lake with so much to enjoy. Would highly recommend, TV in every room which worked well for us. Great option for a family of four looking for a great get away.

Summary: The cabin was neat & clean. However, we were under the impression that fishing was accessible. There was no row boats & the inlet was very shallow. No fishing!
