Positive: Great, quirky accommodation, really nicely decorated and very stylish. An oasis of calm but easy to each the city. I imagine it’s even better in the summer but our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed a rainy October evening in the hot tub by the lake. Facilities are very good for basic food preparation and the bathroom is luxurious.

Negative: The biggest disappointment was that I had specifically searched for accommodation with a car charger. This property has an outside domestic plug socket, not a car charger. To use it you would have to have a car cable with a domestic European plug and of course the charge would be very slow. The owner did tell me this before we had arrived so I could charge before arrival, but I did not know before I paid. One small point is that there is not much floor space once the sofa bed is pulled out. This wasn’t a problem for our 1 night stay but for a longer stay, space for luggage might be apparent.

Summary: Lovely quirky accommodation, with fabulous outside space and secure parking.

Positive: Location is nice and has a big pond in the garden, has prewarmed Jekuzi. The hut is bit small for family of four but would be perfect for 2-3 person.

Positive: Great spot for our last night in Europe - the comfy beds and hot tub were well used! The outside shower was great and it was lovely to sit outside by the pond. It's lovely and secluded- there are other houses around but the space is very private. The robes and crocs were a lovely touch

Negative: As others have noted - the main gate needs fixing as do some of dials on the hot tub. The shower is lovely but privacy is tricky if there's more than a couple staying. Some milk would have been nice for the coffee.

Positive: A fantastic location for easy access to Calais if travelling up from the south of France like we were. This lake side retreat is in a remote location but only 10mins from the nearest supermarkets and the main motorway. It is also only 15-20minutes from Reims. The facilities and accommodation are excellent and fairly new in appearance. It is decorated tastefully and is very appealing. The shower is fantastic and just what we like - walk-in with rain shower. The day bed is great for lazing around and relaxing. The hot-tub was fantastic and we really enjoyed going in there during the day and later in the evening. The outside shower is heated and I enjoyed showering before and after using the hot tub as well as during the day to cool off after sunbathing. The garden is secure, although has direct access to the lake which might be a concern for families with a small child or if your spouse overly worries about the pet pooch - that hates the water and has never gone in to a lake or a pool or a paddling pool before but he might just jump off the pier or the edge if the garden into the lake!!!???!!!! (For the record, he sniffed close to the edge but never jumped in). Overall, we had a lovely three nights stay at the end of a long summer holiday in the south of France with extended family. Please do not be put off by my points for improvement below, we really enjoyed our stay and they would not put me off staying again.

Negative: Similar to other reviews on here there were just a few things that need addressing and should be part of regular upkeep and maintenance. E.g. the hot tub was fantastic but 3 or 4 of the dials are broken and so you can’t adjust the jets/blowers and/or this results in some not working - new ones just need to be ordered. The main gate is broken (which was mentioned in a review from March) this means it just opens and makes the property less secure and/or means pets could escape - we used a bin to keep it closed which solved the pet concern but anyone could have pushed it open to gain access. There were only two bowls. Also already mentioned this would be amazing for a couple and is ideally suited for this with the space and open plan nature of the shower and access via the main bedroom to use the toilet. We used the sofa bed and meant that there was no space left inside without tidying everything away each day - which most people, like us, just wouldn’t bother.

Summary: A fantastic end to our 4 week summer holiday in France!

Positive: Stunning location even in December. In the summer, it would be outstanding. Everything was just like the photos. The hottub was wonderful. Highly recommend the dinner we had delivered, so much better than expected. The gardens and lake access were fabulous despite the time of year. Excellent shops near by. Easy enough to find and I lived how welcome our dog was.

Negative: Nothing. Delightful from start to finish. Cannot wait to go back when the weather is better.

Positive: This place is wonderful. We stayed for 2 nights and it was an incredible stay. The place matched the photos and description perfectly but we couldn’t believe how lucky we were to find this stunning place! It’s super stylish and finished to a very high standard but it’s also cosy, comfortable and has everything that you could need. It’s sits right on a small lake which is gorgeous and romantic. No one overlooks you so it feels perfectly idyllic and private. The outdoor hot tub is fantastic! It’s dog friendly (small extra charge) and it’s all fenced in and secure but if your dog likes water you will need to keep them safely secured as it’s right on the lake. The house is perfectly located to explore the Champagne region.

Negative: Nothing to dislike. Perfect in every way.

Summary: 2 days of idyllic luxury and chill time. We love this place and we will return. We will recommend to friends and family.
