Unique 'original' Newport Beach house. Take a trip back in time, and stay in a house built and owned by the same family since 1910.
5th house from the beach on 27th St. 5 minute walk to Newport Pier, Grocery Store, Restaurants, Shopping. 5 min drive to Balboa Fun Zone, Arcades, Boat Rentals, Fishing Charters, Harbor Cruises, Whale Watching Tours, Fashion Island Shopping.
The famous surf beach, "Blackies" is right out front. Many famous surfing spots are close by (Huntington Beach, The Wedge).
One of VERY few houses this close to the beach with a backyard.
Back bedroom is furnished with a full bed and a twin. Front bedroom has a full bed. Both bedrooms have closets. Front sleeping porch has a full bed and a sofa that folds out to a full bed. The living room has a sectional sofa and recliner which we steam-clean regularly.
Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are just 20 minutes away.

Summary: Third time staying at the Buckeye Cottage. This is the best family rental in Newport. 4 beach cruisers, plenty of boogie boards for everyone, two surboards (mid length & long board), at least 6 beach chairs, two umbrellas, sand toys, beach towels, board games, cards & chips, gas bbq, two car garage, full kitchen with utensils, drip coffee & kcup machine. Steps to beach, surfing, restaurants, grocery store, bars, donuts...place has it all, just bring clothes and food. Our family of 6 had plenty of room. Take a step back in time and make some family memories at this original beach cottage! Cant wait to come back!

Summary: Perfect location! Perfect cottage! We loved our stay here. The cottage was very comfortable and so charming. We were close to the beach and had access to beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella, sand toys and bikes. Parking was so easy. Check in and check out was a breeze. I can’t think of a better place to stay!
