Positive: The appartment feels very new, clean and light. The use of space is excellent and with all the windows looking out onto your own terrace and then the garden, treeline and cow pasture beyond it feels very open. The kitchen was also surprisingly well stocked in terms of tools, pans, appliances, tea and also different types of coffee (we had to leave most of our own supplies behind unused). There were plenty of maps and leaflets as well. The furniture was very comfortable and your own terrace which doesn't immediately border anyone else is furnished with both lazy benches and chairs and table for a meal outside. It was very clean. The owner working in the yard took time out to without prompt recommend different hikes, restaurants and a farm that sells ice cream. You are in proper rural country, with lots of good hiking locations available by car, including a forested area. You do need the provided picture to find the building! Selfservice checkin and checkout, so coming late is no problem.

Negative: There were no blinds on the 2 velux windows in the bedroom which meant you were awake with daylight. The shower caused the electric to go off when you used it. I was not greeted on arrival at the property and did not meet the hosts at all during my stay.

Positive: The loft apartment was incredibly cozy and well decorated, and it also felt private and secure. The kitchen was very well equipped for us to cook our meals, and the barbecue was perfect for grilling some delicious Irish beef burgers! Unfortunately it was lashing down rain during our stay so we couldn't enjoy the lovely back patio, but the accommodation was nicely insulated to keep us cozy and warm inside. The welcome guide was thorough and we had everything we needed for a stress-free visit. We would definitely stay here again!

Negative: We had a wee bit of trouble finding the place, as Google maps got things a tad confused and had taken us to a house down the road that had been incorrectly labeled as "Kingarrow Cottage" but we found it soon enough and Arthur was quick to meet us outside and direct us to the loft entrance! A picture or description of the front driveway could prove useful to future guests.
