Positive: Really cute little cottage. Blended original features with contemporary design, which offered a pleasing aesthetic. Offered all the modern conveniences; dishwasher, washing machine, good quality fridge freezer, excellent shower. You need to be good at reversing as the parking is a little awkward, but it was lovely to have a space right outside the front door. Neighbours were friendly. A couple of pubs in walking distance. The cottage is about 7.8 miles from the city centre and about a 20-minute drive. Had a very relaxing time and would recommend this for a short stay.

Negative: Personally, I found the towels quite unpleasant to use. They held an odour of camphor, which I assume was from being stored when not in use.

Positive: Had the most wonderful and relaxing stay here! We found check in was super easy and the hosts were really helpful if we had questions to ask. Lovely hosts! The house was clean, tidy and super cosy! We both usually struggle to sleep in unfamiliar places but we both slept like logs for both the nights that we stayed here. The beds were comfortable and it was lovely to smell fresh bedding so clearly! Staying here for us was very homely and just what we needed! For us, the heating system was very easy to use and we found the electric heaters did come in very handy for us to warm us up quickly when being out for the day. The local area itself is quaint and the locals pubs were very good. It's a great place to stay Whorlton exploring Wales. Its clear that from previous reviews that the hosts have taken the feeback onboard (electric heaters, extra bedding, duvets etc) and added these features to the property - huge kudos as this benefitted us greatly! ^.^ We most definitely would stay here again. Thank you so much!

Negative: The kitchen was very dirty including broken eggs left in the fridge. There is a pub less than 300ft from the house which can be noisy on a Saturday evening. The property is situated at least 25 minutes drive from Cardiff city centre.

Positive: Lovely property in a good location just needs some work and some personal touches

Negative: Could do with some instructions on how to work things for example the projector and fire stick as not everyone is tech savvy. The heating and the coffee machine could use instructions as I dont like to poke around stuff i dont know. The property was absolutely freezing! I did message the owner to find out about heating which we did put on but even still it barely warmed up so we didn’t sleep well due to constantly being cold. Could probably do with thicker duvets and the heating being on for a little while before arrival. There were childrens stickers and plasters stuck to everything through out the property. It states not to wear shoes upstairs but the floorboards in the bedrooms have some nasty nails and splinters sticking up. We all caught our feet a couple of times on these. We were left with two toilet rolls that had been mostly used previously which ran out the first night with 3 people in the property. The toilet seat didnt fit the toilet properly its too small. The fire alarm is hanging off unsure if it actually works but doubtful with the state of it. The front of the property had smashed glass on the steps, a random slider and could do with a tidy up.
