The Barn is a hidden gem, tucked away in a private location within the grounds of Carwinion Vean. It is only seconds away from the heart of this quaint Cornish village. The Barn provides comfortable, cosy accommodation and is perfect for a couple. There is an enclosed garden great for relaxing with a cool drink after a day exploring the wonders of Cornwall, or for star gazing. The Barn has a light and modern interior, decorated in cool sea greens, blues and greys that reflect the Cornish coastline, rivers and rugged clifftops. Enter through the double glazed French doors, into a light and airy open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area. This area has a small fitted kitchen with washer/dryer, kettle, four slice toaster, microwave with grill, fridge, oven, extractor fan and two ring ceramic hob. The dining table with two chairs and a bench seat, overlooks the garden. There is also a small sofa, TV, electric wall heater and storage cupboard. From this area there are doors to a double bedroom and modern shower room. The bedroom comprises a traditional style double bed, open hanging and shelved storage space, electric wall heater, mirror and hairdryer. The shower room is traditional in style, has plenty of storage, a full length mirror, heated towel rail and wall mounted fan heater. Towels and bed linen are provided. The Barn benefits from an enclosed garden, with comfortable seating and picnic bench. There is also off road parking.

Summary: The Barn is ideal for a couple. It is well situated and the owners, Mark and Jayne, have supplied everything that you may need for your stay in the property. We met Mark and he is very friendly and the little personal touches that were supplied in the property on our arrival were most appreciated. We had a memorable holiday in Cornwall and I am sure that we will go back there soon. Henriette & Paul

Summary: My wife and I had a very enjoyable two weeks in The Barn. The compact accommodation was comfortable, clean, cosy and in immaculate condition, and perfectly adequate for the two of us. Because we were lucky with the weather we were able to eat al fresco in the small garden. The location on a quiet road was peaceful and just a few minutes walk from the village of Mawnan Smith with its pub and general store. The area is stunning with two famous gardens and the beautiful coastal path within a 20 minute walk. Thoroughly recommended.
