This cottage is a beautifully decorated semi detached cottage, we are on hand if you need any help, but you will have plenty of privacy as the cottage enjoys its own front and rear garden and a totally separate parking area. The gardens are south facing so when the sun is out you can enjoy it sitting in rear garden, whist dinning alfresco on the patio, or at the front of the cottage admiring the uninterrupted views over the valley. The cottage is ideally located if you would like to stay in a peaceful location, yet have easy access (10mins by car) to the beaches and amenities. If you enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife, there is a picturesque ford just a 5 mins walk down a quiet road, where we ourselves have frequently seen roe deer, otters, ducks, barn owls and often hear the elusive woodpecker. Coswarth cottage has no light pollution at all and is fantastic at night for star gazing. The cottage is ideal for family and couples, the spacious open plan living/kitchen area and separate snug room so there is plenty of room for all without getting under each others feet! our cottage is perfect for a relaxing getaway in Cornwall. There is central heating throughout the cottage, underfloor heating in the upstairs bathrooms and a log burning stove in the lounge area, So is Well equipped to keep you warm in the cooler months.There is free WiFi access throughout the cottage, we'll give you the code and you'll be able to connect all your devices. (However Coswarth Cottage can run at countryside WiFi speed )
There are plenty of amenities just a short drive away; there are basic groceries just 2 miles away in either direction (Quintrell Downs and Fraddon),pubs, chips shop and a Chinese takeaway. We particularly recommend the Plume of feathers pub/restaurant in Mitchell, Jamie Oliver's restaurant 'Fifteen' at Watergate bay and Rick stein's various eateries in Padstow and Newquay. The Eden project provides a fascinating day out for everyone with several excellent cafes. We also recommend a trip to St Mawgan; a picture perfect village with a pub (The Falcon) which has a beautiful beer garden, quaint tea rooms,a church, village green and Japanese gardens, its only 1.5 miles from Watergate Bay beach so you can combine a trip to visit both places. There are a wealth of activities for you to enjoy within easy reach, for example, Golfing,fishing, surfing, sailing , coastal walks, swimming and cycling (camel trail etc) to name a few. For avid fishermen, there are two lakes nearby , white acres fisheries is only 2 miles away and Oak side fishing lake only 1.4 ,miles also easily walkable. If your looking for that extra special kind of holiday treatments/pampering there are various spas in the Newquay area such as Bedruthan hotel spa , The Scarlet hotel (Both in Mawgan Porth) and The Bay hotel (Fistral Newquay).

Summary: A lovely , well equipped house.It was beautifully clean and our host Kathy could not have been more helpful.The only downside to the whole process was the clunky , very tech orientated administration system ....not one iota of human contact at any point.I had a couple of booking issues which, had I been able to explain to a " person" as opposed to an AI generated assistant called Claire ( please don't insult people by giving machines a name ) could have been easily resolved.Since using VRBO I have also been inundated with hard sell info...it is constant.The house and everything to do with it was amazing...but I will not use VRBO to book a property in the future.

Summary: We have just had a 16 day stay at this cottage. We had a wonderful time. The photos don’t do it justice as it is much larger than expected. There is everything you need and a lovely welcome box is a nice touch. The owners are really friendly and quick to respond to any questions. They live next door but not at all intrusive. The cottage is in a great position and really peaceful but you need your own transport as it is tucked away in the countryside. We would definitely return here.

Summary: A lovely cottage in a quiet location and a great base for visiting all areas of Cornwall The cottage is modern very comfortable and clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our weeks` stay, the welcome box was enjoyed by all. Summary: Very well presented and spotlessly clean, lovely enclosed garden ideal for our dog. Nice patio area and seat at front porch ideal to sit and watch the world by. A walk down the to the ford with a foot bridge was great with the dog. Well located in easy reach of Newquay and many beaches. The owners were a really great family and a pleasure to meet, but not intrusive.Will definitely stay here again we loved it.

Summary: A perfect holiday cottage that sleeps 7. It is very spacious (I was surprised at the size of the property and rooms) with everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped with a seperate utilty room. The down stairs toilet is a bonus. The downstairs is open plan but there is seperate snug. There is plenty of outdoor space too. You can chill out on the back having a bbq or sit at the front admiring the view. We often played bowls on the strip of grass next to the cottage too. The location is really good, being close enough to Newquay but far enough away. We went to Watergate Bay a few times to swim and body board but we also like to travel around. We went to Fowey and across to Polruan on the boat, Mevagissey, Port Issac, Porthleven, St Agnes and we even had a drive down to Land's End to get a family photograph I have wanted for years. We enjoyed walking down to the Ford with our two border terriers and even saw bats in the evening. It's so peaceful and we all slept really well. I would highly recommend this cottage to any family. Kathy is a great host and very friemdly, so is her family too. Wish we didn't have to leave! The

Summary: We had a wonderful four-night stay at the gorgeous Coswarth Cottage - two adults, three children and a dog. The cottage is stunning and even better than the photos suggest! It is modern, spacious and absolutely immaculate. The beds were cosy and comfortable, the bathrooms spotless and towels plentiful. We really couldn’t fault a thing. The location was perfect. It was quiet and peaceful, yet everything was within a short drive. We were able to see most of the West Coast with ease. The views from the front of the cottage are stunning and our children absolutely loved watching the train passing the level crossing just behind the cottage. The train was so slow and quiet, it was no bother at all. Early morning running along the country roads was a joy, as were the daily dog walks down to the ford. Kathy is a wonderful, friendly host and made us feel very welcome. The milk and orange in the fridge and the welcome baskets were a lovely touch. Coswarth Cottage was a super find and we cannot wait to return! We would recommend this stunning cottage to everyone. Thank you so much Kathy and Rob for your hospitality x
