Summary: Lovely, historical building, hence a bit of a trek to the top floor (no lift, of course). Very clean, plenty of tea, water, biscuits etc. in the room. Very nice breakfast staff but when my husband queried the price of a Guinness & packet of crisps being a bit steep (£9.30), the bar lady snapped back "It's not my fault" which we didn't think, in terms of customer service, was quite the correct response!! Easy 5 minute walk to the town centre.

Summary: Well run hotel in excellent location, with good parking and nice breakfast / restaurant / bar / outdoor seating. The hotel (or at least part of it) is a grade 2 listed building (dating from 1595). As a result the rooms are quite variable in size and some are up a very steep staircase, so beware when booking. Bar had 3 handpump ales which was a pleasant surprise. Excellent breakfast and evening menus. Town centre is a short 5 minute walk. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Summary: Comfortable and good food. The suite had a tiny bathroom but newer fixtures and functional. The location was perfect for a walk around the town.

Summary: Everyone was nice and helpful. It was a quiet neighborhood, away from the center but still very walkable to the center and dining options. Breakfast was wonderful. Definitely a jewel in Cirencester!

Summary: This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is a lovely old building. Steep stairs and no lift due to age of building. Not a problem for us. But maybe a consideration for some, although I think there may be some ground floor rooms. Large carpark at back of hotel a bonus. Lovely garden and short walk to town centre. We would definitely stay again next time we're in Cirencester.
