Positive: The attention to detail and how many items were hand made. Barbara was friendly and welcoming. They had literally thought of everything and a lovely welcome package of high quality items. We will be returning hopefully soon.

Positive: We loved how private and secluded it felt. Yet there's also a great pub at the end of the road and a small town a few mins drive away with supermarkets and a great sandwich shop. The hosts left us a small hamper of goods which was a really lovely touch. The lodge is really special and beautifully crafted. We didn't want to leave! The hosts are very welcoming and kind. We'd definitely come back!

Negative: Nothing to complain about here! I'd personally have loved a fire pit outside , but I'm sure there isn't one for safety reasons! But that really isn't a complaint!!

Positive: Rural location, unique accommodation. Attention to detail. The bowtop caravan is a beautiful throwback to a different way of life and a novelty to sleep in. The wooden cabin, is beautifully handcrafted, right down to the crockery and bathroom sink which were hand thrown by the owners at a local pottery centre. Everything you can think of is catered for, and you can tell just how much care , thought and attention to detail has gone into the accommodation. If you are looking for a place to stay, that also allows for a unique sleeping experience, and is set in a gorgeous remote location, looks no further. It secluded and intimate, surrounded by a crab apple orchard and looks out on to a wild plot of land with a small babbling brook at the bottom. The rural the views are stunning. The wildlife is abundant and the experience is restorative and a fantastic break away from the hussle and bussal of day to say life! Get yourself a weekend away booked. I know you won't regret it.

Negative: Only feedback, as someone who's stayed a few times, is that whilst the bowtop caravan is a lovely novelty. It is a little small for us (we are used to a super king sized bed), but still absolutely worth spending a night in, to get the full feel of how travelling families lived in years gine by. We tend to use the pull out sofa when we stay. The sofa bed has been well loved, and the mattress is now thin and the metal bar on the bed makes for an uncomfortable sleep. I padded it out with the cushions from the couch which helped, but might be worth looking at a replacement mattress or new sofa bed in the future. This is a minor issue and in no way takes away from this incredible accommodation.

Summary: Tranquil, rural, one of a kind, attention to detail and created with love and enjoyment in mind.
