Summary: I was "upgraded" upon arrival to a room that was absolutely not cleaned: clumps of dog and human hair all over the floor, bedside tables, and in the bed. Very weak internet. Not all rooms get an extension cord with 3 prong plug in option. No hand soap. Dirty stained sheets and towels. And the last straw was the pee drops on the toilet seat so I called the owner. He was very colorful with his disgust in the cleaners which I did not want to hear or feel yelled at. The new room was cleaner but on ground level so I had to keep all shades closed. The carpet throughout the location haven't seen a vacuum. After my room switch two women popped out from their room to express their disappointment and concern to me as well. Very expensive for the low quality and care. However the location is nice.

Summary: Well, there was nobody there check-in just a key on the counter and a note. There was only one light in the room and it didn’t work took me quite a while to find a phone number to get it resolved, but then I had to call twice and then John finally came Wi-Fi didn’t work so he got that going too. There was some trash in the room from the previous occupant, the worst was a used Q-tip on the windowsill. It’s an old building, which is kind of cool if you like that kind of thing an extra towel would be nice and a bath mat. This is a bare bones hotel but you can’t pay for.

Summary: Arriving late at night, there was a handwritten welcome note on the front desk AND an upgrade to a larger room. This place is so enchanting. It is an antique Inn of 200 years old; the rooms are clean and thoughtfully decorated. There is breakfast next door at Brekkies which is great. I will definitely stay here again.

Summary: We stayed on the third-floor of the main house; it was probably one of the worst rooms we have ever stayed in over 30 years of traveling. The room was run down and the bathroom was a joke. The bathroom was makeshift and dirty. This old house has potential. However, the room we were provided should not be rented out until it receives a major make-over.

Summary: I paid for a queen and got a full size bed. Said there would be a kitchenette and did not have that option either. No one wa son property to receive any accommodations such as fresh towels. Body wash bottle was half full and glass in bathroom was not clean either.

Summary: This place has a world of potential. Beautiful location and layout. But the rooms full of mold, rust, bugs (fork tails) and a large slug (pic below) and because of all of that the smell of mildew was very strong. Never met anyone to check in or check out. Really a shame and way overpriced for the motel 6 quality.

Summary: We made a last minute reservation at the Copper Swan and we couldn’t have made a better choice. The property is old but beautifully maintained and clean. Short walk into Wellfleet center for shopping and activities. We had dinner at Wicked Oyster which is right next door. We will be back..!!

Summary: The owner was very responsive to our needs. We are in our 80s and like to read at night, so the owner replaced the 60 watt bulbs with 100 watt ones and brought in a floor lamp, which was very welcome! The owner also personally helped when the internet password provided didn’t work. One of the attractions posted for this property was that a breakfast basket would be provided outside the door in the mornings, but this was changed so that breakfast would be served in their restaurant,which was just opened. The offerings were limited because it was just opening, and we didn’t find much that met our need for low-fat low-cholesterol diet (the oatmeal in the menu wasn’t yet available). I think most people would have enjoyed the standard breakfast items they offered. The restaurants and shopping nearby were great. The Wicked Oyster is excellent and literally next door. Mac’s Shack is a few blocks away and deservedly very popular. The main building where we stayed is decorated with charming pictures and furniture, and there are chairs on the screened in porch and lawn furniture. Our king size bed was comfortable, though a bit high, so we had to learn to get up into it and slide down to get out!
