Positive: I have to preface everything by saying that due to circumstance we were looking for accommodation in Como 2 days before arriving. Which is..insane. Due to this, our options were extremely limited. The goal was to find something clean within reasonable walking distance (if possible at all) because I was with my older parents and because finding parking there is next level, plus to have a safe spot to leave our car. This accommodation looks exactly like in the pictures. It was clean and had the amenities listed. The beds were actual beds and not some pull out version of a bed, so were also comfortable. The distance from the city center is 3km. I tried a couple of routes. For fit people it's ok for sure, but it was a lot for my parents because you start with a big downhill, which is then a huge uphill for less mobile people when returning. Your other option is to wait for the bus-the station is next to the building so that works out if you opt for it.

Negative: What isn't shown in the pictures is the building itself. It's an older buidling and it hits you with a distinct basementy moldy smell as you walk in. The apartment was renovated and looks nice but my parents were petrified that we were swindled when we first walked in, before we saw it, because of the building. There does not seem to be a lot of people living there either. There was the occassional ant in the apartment. This is fully normal for older buildings and even new ones and not a reflection of the cleanliness of this apartment but we were careful about not leaving food out, so this should be mentioned. The hosts seem like nice people who take care of their properties, but it turned out so that I had to ask they speak in Italian (which I know little of) rather than to attempt English. They have one address on Booking and I was sent another via Whatsapp when locating the property. The map was confusing and I was confused as to what the real location was, it was a whole thing trying to get to it. They also sent me a have a nice trip back type message a full day before our check out which was meant to be a nice thing but made me paranoid I had booked the wrong dates and similar situations all stemming from them not being great with English (which they admited) and not using any other language. I want to emphasize the fact that I don't fault them for this, they seem like nice people doing their thing and trying to make a living, trying to be nice, but it was inconvenient and had I had a real request, I would not have bothered to make it because it was too much back and forth to confirm we were thinking of the same thing. If you are Italian or fluent in Italian, I am sure you will have a great time with them.

Positive: The flat is really spacious, in a very quiet area. It is also well-equipped, including a coffee machine with coffee provided by the host, as well as a washing machine and dishwasher. The host is really helpful.
