Summary: The house is beautiful, with every amenity. The owners are absolutely wonderful--warm, salt-of-the-earth folks who are there to make your stay enjoyable. Beautiful drive up and down the lupine-lined lane, and close to Mabou, the Gaelic College, Baddeck, the puffin-viewing boats--couldn't ask for better.

Summary: This is a wonderful, comfortable, beautifully clean house comfortable in an excellent location for enjoying the Margaree River, and also for touring the Cabot Trail. The house is very private, and located on a hill so that you can look out over the river valley. Really just perfect. The hosts are excellent! We had a wonderful visit!

Summary: The setting and view are excellent. The house was extremely quiet and spacious for six guests. The beds are comfortable and the house was clean. 6 people sat comfortably at the large country kitchen table and there was lots of room on the counter top for food preparations. The view from the living room out over the valley was picturesque with the only obstruction was the humming birds actively feeding at the feeder outside the window. The living room was also very comfortable seating 6 adults and room for a couple more if needed. ( 2 long couches, a lazyboy and a large padded chair. There was never a need to bring in a kitchen chair. The grounds are immaculate with perennial flower beds strategically planted around the property. The closest neighbor is a city block away so if privacy and quiet is important this is a great spot to stay. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no cell phone service so no phone calls from the workplace. There is a land phone in the house and you can make your phone calls from there (Local and long distance is included at no additional charge). High speed internet is also included so you can easily stay in touch with work via email or just surf the internet at you leisure. A large screen TV is also located in the living room. The picture was clear and a good variety of channels available. The bottom line is if you are looking a quiet place to stay with a great view stay here. You are located just of the Cabot trail and about a 1/2 hour drive from Baddeck and 5 minutes to Margaree forks with a coop grocery store and liquor store. Although we didn't fish this visit several anglers could be seen fishing salmon from the banks of the Margaree river at the bottom of the hill where you will be staying
