Positive: Nice view from the room, cheap price, enough space and private bathroom, 2 minutes walk to the center and still very quiet

Negative: Very dark room with a tiny balcony that is only reachable by a corridor that doesnt let light though. I think thats only in our room like that, so we got the worst one which didn't show on the pictures., showers have bad water pressure and are not really warm

Positive: I recommend this hostel. The rooms are clean, bed comfortable, serene atmosphere and great views. Kitchen facilities available. The owner is very friendly & helpful giving great advice.

Negative: Shower water is not the hottest. I suggest changing the curtains as they let light in. When its windy parts of the roof bang which make it hard for 'light sleepers' like myself to sleep. Also walls very thin so other guests should think of others and make less noise.

Positive: The reception was very friendly, though English wasn't an option. The cheap private room was perfect for downtime, and the location is excellent, right by the main square. Being a small town, everything is within easy walking distance. The staff was nice enough to wait for me for my later check-in, much appreciated! Overall, great value for money!

Negative: Sleeping here was quite challenging due to the incredibly thin walls – I could hear everything, even smell the cigarette smoke from outside. The common area wasn't a pleasant place to spend time as there was nowhere comfortable to sit besides kitchen table. The kitchen was quite basic and lacked many necessary cooking tools. I also noticed that the common areas weren't very clean, and my private room wasn't cleaned at all during my three nights. Unfortunately, some of my food disappeared from the fridge. The most frustrating part was when I extended my stay; it seemed the place was overbooked, and I was asked to move into a dorm room, which wasn't what I had booked or wanted. Eventually I could keep the room, but didn't enjoy the pressure at all.

Positive: The kitchen was fairly well equipped and there was a filter for drinking water. I didn't see any coffee or teabags available for guests. The staff was friendly though there were a lot of rules such as not placing your backpack on the floor of the bedroom; they were to be in a space provided. This could be the end of your bed.

Negative: The hot water wasn't really hot or even warm. It was a fairly cold night and the top sheet and light bedcover were not sufficient to keep me warm. Getting to the hostel requires guests to walk down a very steep slope.

Positive: Mauricio y Joana are very nice people and always giving a hand when needed with any question or problem. I stayed in Salento when there was a Festival and the location of the hostel really made a difference so that all the party noise didn't come in that loud.
