Positive: Lovely small hotel located in the village of Vounaria which has two simple, friendly tavernas. We had the family apartment which was spacious (although the bathroom was a little small), clean and well equipped. These are in the ‘old’ wing and could do with modernising, particularly the kitchen area but it was perfectly fine for us and the bed was comfortable, Staff were friendly, pool towels changed whenever you wanted and a lovely breakfast choice. The beach, accessible down a short but steep set of steps, is heavenly and with only a few people, and we spent a lot of time swimming there but there are no sunbeds or shade. There is a serviced beach around half a mile away at Peroulia (and at Akti) with free sunbeds for guests. The infinity pool was refreshing and fairly quiet with beautiful views and there is another small pool too. It’s a wonderful place for a quiet break, rest and relaxation. You do really need a car to get here easily and to make the most of the area.

Negative: Earlier room cleaning - our room wasn’t serviced until around 1/2pm just when we wanted to return off the beach to freshen up/nap. The hotel and area are on a steep (ish) site with steps and hills to Peroulia if you’re walking up to Vounaria.

Positive: The hotel is in a beautiful location and was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout. The breakfast was plentiful and served in the restaurant next to the pool.

Negative: The furniture in the room was outdated and could be updated.

Positive: Comfortable, our room was decently modern, nice pool area.

Negative: Not up to the standard I expected for the price. The room was on the small side, and we were missing basic amenities such as body lotion or shaving kit. The TV didn’t have option to connect to Netflix. The exit sign illuminated the room at night. No fresh orange juice at breakfast and no offer to make a coffee from the espresso machine you had to go to the bar and request it yourself. None of these are big things but the comfort I expected given how the hotel advertises itself, the price (the highest we have paid in our holidays while other places did include these amenities) and the number of stars.
