Positive: This was a completely last-minute booking after I decided not to drive any farther south toward Naples. I arrived hoping to book on-site with the WiFi, not realizing it was an apartment without a reception. After calling the number provided, the host was incredibly helpful and accommodating, even offering to come meet me in person on short notice to help me get settled. Although I was able to complete the booking and receive the entry details by email, she still came by shortly after to walk me through everything, which really showed how welcoming and attentive they are. The apartment was actually better than expected. There’s a shared kitchen and dining area that wasn’t obvious from the photos, which was a really nice surprise and very convenient. My room itself was huge, completely brand new, and spotless. The bathroom felt spa-like, with a large, powerful shower and a heated towel rack. The bed was incredibly comfortable and generously sized. Overall, I was wishing I could have an apartment like this of my own! In the morning, breakfast was being prepared for me, which was such a nice bonus, especially since I wanted to rest a bit more before continuing my drive rather than going out. The location is great, with plenty of free street parking, just a 15-minute drive from the Abbey of Montecassino (definitely worth a visit), and within walking distance of many bars and the town center. Overall, this was a really great experience, especially for a last-minute stop, and I would absolutely stay here again if I’m traveling north to south (or vice versa).

Positive: Our room was safe and secure. The staff went out of its way to accommdate our needs. The breakfasts were well above average. And, the staff went out of its way to make sure we had a parking place near the hotel.

Negative: The location was not the best in the sense the neighborhood was a little run down a bit run down but safe.

Summary: Cassino is a short stay location. The Colombo Suites is a perfect short stay location.

Positive: Basic comforts that you want a property to deliver on are exceeded. It is clean, modern and the breakfasts are terrific. Whike there is no parking at the property finding parking nearby was never a problem. The people in the community were friendly and helpful. A muslim shopkeeper walked us over to a restaurant we were have difficulty finding.

Negative: My only reservation is that the surrounding neighborhood is run down.

Positive: Everything! Great place and location. The lovely host met us on arrival and showed us everything we needed to know. She was extremely helpful with advising us on good local restaurants and information about the War Cemeteries and Monte Cassino. She even rang the Abbey and booked a guided tour for us. The property was very clean with lovely amenities. The whole place seemed newly fitted out. Bathroom was great. Very big shower with two shower heads. Bedroom was comfortable with air conditioning and automatic window shutters that kept the room dark and soundproof. Toiletries were provided which seemed high quality. The apartment had three suites with own bathrooms and a communal fully equipped kitchen and dining room in the centre. Oven and big gas hobs and refrigerator for use. Coffee and tea provided. Coffee machine and kettle available. Breakfast was provided each morning. It was a great way to meet other travellers. Sara came each morning and set out the breakfast, made coffees for us all and cleaned up and did the dishes. She was very friendly, engaging and helpful. 👍 The owner was very responsive to any questions and popped in to check everything was ok. Definitely would stay here again if visiting Cassino. Thank you both
