Positive: The setting and set up provided the quiet and tranquility needed. The staff were supportive and enabled bookings and taxis needed so there was little for me to actually do for anything.

Positive: LOVED The Colleton House! Hadrian , Sharon and Vivian made our stay amazing . They are so kind and welcoming , making our stay relaxing and comfortable. The lovely Wanza helped make breakfast special , served on a beautiful veranda, overlooking the sea. The green monkeys were an extra special treat, frolicking poolside! Would love to return!

Negative: Location is a bit far, but transportation via taxi available. On the flip side , the location is what adds to the quiet , peaceful experience.

Summary: This is the place to stay if you are looking for peaceful and relaxing time out.

Positive: This property is great if you want a classic luxury experience at a reasonable price. The location is quiet, has beautiful views and the hosts are very hospitable. Sharon and Hadrian helped us with bookings and recommendations whenever we needed.

Positive: Peace, tranquility and grandeur greet you at the gates of Colleton Great House. The warm welcome from the staff and, the charm of the surroundings immediately confirmed that we had made the right choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Historic Room. Everything is immaculately kept. Sharon, Hadran and their team were attentive and always willing to assist. The grounds are impressive and there are many places close by to visit, including Heywoods Beach. Having a car is useful.

Positive: The property is serene and stunning. Sharon and Hadrian are outstanding hosts. We stayed in the 2 bedroom/2.5 bathroom cottage and absolutely loved it. It was very spacious, clean as a whistle, large modern bathrooms, comfy beds along with a terrace with gorgeous views.

Negative: There really is nothing to dislike. The property is unique and unlike most other places in Barbados. Sharon and Hadrian make guests feel at home and tend to all needs- big and small.

Positive: Beautiful property with exceptional staff that went above and beyond the normal service expectations. Great vibe and opportunity to interact with other guests at breakfast and around the pool. For a certain type of traveler who likes historic homes this is unbeatable. Great views and parklike grounds round out a great experience.

Negative: The house is located about .2k away from the beach and it is not really walkable. Located away from popular beaches and restaurants which could be a feature but cabs are expensive and it may be best to rent a car. Many cabs are cash only so take cash if you use them for primary transportation. Staff was very helpful in providing reliable cab service and in some cases adding it to hotel charge.
