Positive: A perfect place to stop on the way from Colombo/Negombo to Sigiriya and take a break from the bustle of the main road. A beautiful, spacious cottage with a wooden terrace where you can sit and breathe in the fresh air. There is no air conditioning, but in this mountain climate the fan is a perfect solution. The wonderful meals prepared by the hosts using local ingredients were absolutely incredible — truly something special! It was a unique experience. Thank you. If you decide to stay here, make sure to book more than one night — otherwise you’ll definitely be left wanting more.

Positive: The family are delightful and welcomed us like friends. There is only one room but it is spacious and has a lovely bathroom. The food was home cooked and Spice levels just right, the menu has different foods compared to the usual choices.Breakfast was enormous and had Sri Lankan dishes we had not tried before. Very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed our nights stay. No AC but it is not needed. They supplied us with as many bottles of water as we needed at no charge. Very generous family.

Negative: The mattress could do with a topper as the springs dug in .

Positive: We were warmly welcomed at the Coco Eco Lodge and immediately felt at home. This accommodation is truly a special place for nature lovers and eco-tourism enthusiasts – surrounded by beautiful nature and offering a unique atmosphere. The Sri Lankan food, which we already love, was exceptionally delicious here: the curries, the freshly prepared breakfast with sambol – simply amazing. We felt incredibly comfortable and happy during our stay and can wholeheartedly recommend the Coco Eco Lodge.

Positive: Very attentive and welcoming host family, charming well-decorated cottage with a good bed. Can recommend the home-made food as well. Conveniently located between Negombo and Sigiriya, near to the main road but in a quiet living area surrounded by palm and mango trees.

Positive: We really enjoyed the food and the location, the Lodge is lost among paddy fields, mountains, palm trees and beautiful small villages. The room was really confortable it has a nice terrasse and a stunning view on their beautiful garden where we saw peacocks passing by and also a lot of caméléon and beautiful lézards The family is also very kind and we could enjoy a new year party with them, playing games with kids, sharing food and observing fireworks! Waji speaks amazing French! .

Positive: An „insider‘s tip“ for travelers who will appreciate a beautiful and authentic home-stay a little off the mainroad, surrounded by Sri Lankan nature. We found this place by chance, when our tuk-tuk-trip from Negombo to Sigiriya got too long and we decided to take a break. Next time around, we will definitely come here again on purpose. Wajira and his beautiful family have welcomed us with open arms and open doors. We felt at home very quickly because of their friendliness. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan food, interacting with the family and the whole atmosphere. Thank you for everything!

Positive: the food! it was the best meal we had in all over Sri Lanka (2 weeks), the location is private, no tourists at all in nearby area, so it’s truly a local home stay vibe. there was hot water and overall comfortable.

Negative: it’s very new so the owner has room to improve. would be nice if all bedsheets and towels were made of cotton. would be nice to have a hair dyer.
