Positive: Costal villa is a nice and cosy place close to the beach and not far from Baticaloa fort. Hosts woke us up in the early morning, so we could catch the proper bus! The bathroom was cosy and spacious.
Negative: We did not like the air conditioning (AC) because of an additional chemical smell (or maybe it was a special scent), but for sensitive people or those with allergies, this smell was unbearable, so we switched it off and did not use it. Fortunately, there was a small barred window that we could open, and happily no mosquitoes came in. Although our room on the ground floor was spacious, because of the small barred window and total absence of a view, we felt like we were in the basement or a cellar. So my advice would be to make a bigger window or windows in this room with shutters or blinds to let more light in.
