Positive: The welcome from staff was lovely, a happy and smiling man showed us to our room, gave us the WiFi code and checked we had all we needed. The bathroom in the room was clean and modern with shampoo and shower gel provided. Free parking on site was an added bonus and the pub itself appeared busy and had a games room.

Negative: The room itself was a little tired and would benefit from being decorated. The bedding was clean but appeared of poor quality and the mattress was really uncomfortable, lumpy and hard to sleep on.

Positive: Great room and bathroom. Beds were not the comfiest and one was broken however we slept OK. It was quiet. Great location, good parking and evening meals were also very good. Lovely beer garden by the canal. Breakfast is continental but we were offered eggs. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Negative: Beds not the comfiest. Basic breakfast.
