Positive: Quiet, close proximity to the brewery and freeway

Negative: Restaurant bar was closed and the pool was completely drained. It seemed like they were doing renovations, but I never saw any work done so I’m pretty sure it’s been like that for a long time.

Positive: The location made it easy to head out on adventures, while being tucked away from the busy business area. The views from the hotel are beautiful with a walking /biking path along the river just steps from the front door. The front counter staff were kind and helpful, especially Miss Liza. She was phenomenal! If all customer service employees could be like her we would be so lucky!

Negative: Im not criticizing this at all because it is a fact and we were aware at the time of booking, but it is currently being remodeled to become a Hilton and the pool and lounge are closed. The one negative thing I would say is that although the website said in multiple places that there were bikes there to use free of charge, they were unavailable. We received two different explanations: one was that they are tandem with the pool so if it’s not open there are no bikes and the other reason stated was that they’re seasonal and it’s not time yet. There was nothing anywhere on their website with either of those notices so if you have a bike, bring it. We wish we would have.

Negative: Very run down old building, very uncomfortable beds and I king bed option. Our group had rooms across the hall and one was nicer (ours) and the other was super outdated.

Positive: This hotel is under renovation, and will be exceptional once done. The location is an island with nice water views. There is a restaurant, Cedars, that has exceptional seafood. Also a very nice brewery and restaurant is across the street. Because this is all that is on the island, the environment is great. Looking forward to staying when the renovation is complete.
