Summary: Really nice cabin. Extensive amount of amenities. My son and I enjoyed the trip. We will add this to our list of good places to stay.

Summary: Though internet is available, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you choose not to enjoy the quiet nights full of stars and days of animals, lake activities, hiking, or bikiing. 1 hour away from Glenwood Springs if you feel the need for Civilization, a drive with great views and amazing colors, Really enjoyed the stay,

Summary: This cabin was perfect-beds are comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with cooking implements and basic supplies, very comfortable! Close enough to Basalt to make a run into town when we needed groceries or whatever; easy access to Aspen and Grand Junction as well. We were there for fishing, and the private portion of the Frying Pan just outside our door was amazing. Plus there's easy access to all of the fishing spots elsewhere on the river. The little foxes on the property were charming, and the ambience can't be beat. Cash is a charming host and gave us an informative tour of the property which we enjoyed thoroughly. I can't recommend this enough- if you want a place to stay for any outdoors activity in the area you can't beat this, for sure.

Summary: Another return trip to the Bear Cabin. 5th or 6th trip here. everything was perfect again. Cash does a wonderful job of keeping his guests happy. Scenery is beautiful. Could not ask for anything more! Hope to return again next year. Extras are very special.

Summary: Absolutely what the doctor ordered! We wanted peace and quiet, and that's exactly what we got. Our host, Cash, is a most interesting gentleman. He offered us any amenities around the property, including the use of his fly rods. This place is NOT amongst the hustle and bustle of a town/city, but if you want to get away from everything, this is the place to go. Ideal launching pad for various hikes. We even saw 4 moose on one of our drives. Another highlight was Nikkii. There were some food items in the fridge with a note that said, 'For Nikkii'. We asked, 'Who's Nikkii'? Cash's reply was, 'You'll see'. Soon after we were greeted by a mother fox with 3 kits. Nikkii will take the food right out of your hand. Bear Cabin certainly isn't fancy, but it's homey. Another bonus point: You get to brush up on all the various subspecies of hummingbirds (piranhas with wings) that Colorado has to offer. :) Definitely would stay again!

Summary: We had the opportunity to spend a long weekend in this beautiful spot. The river, wild life, location and Mr. Cash’s guidance made for a wonderful experience. The cabin’s quaint charm had everything you might need or forgot to bring. We highly recommend staying here and hopefully plan on returning soon! Such a relaxing beautiful place!

Summary: Cash (Host) was really great and more then willing to help us with anything we needed. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the cabin but, it was more than sufficient for us. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Cash for making us feel at home and giving us a perfect little cabin while we were there.

Summary: Wonderful cabin / home with everything you need. 3rd year / time staying here. Remote, clean, outdoor friendly with owner on-site to handle all of your needs and wants.
Craig P. Oct 4, 2023 12:01:56 PM
Summary: Really enjoyed the stay. The timing was just as the colors were starting to change. The temperatures were great. The scenery up to the cabin was great. Best thing for me was how peaceful it was. The stars at night relly put on a show when the moon was not out. We had a full moon at the end of our week. Plenty of things to do in thr area. Hiking, fishing, biking , horse riding and Aspen and Glenwood Springs close by if you felt the need for Civilization. The cabin was comfortable and came equipped with anything you may have forgotten. Fish were plentiful, foxes come to visit a couple times a day. Chipmunks are a constant, as are birds. Deer and sheep were out during or drives, owls were out durind our riverside fires in the fire pit. Cash (owner) was genuinely friendly and nice. Definitely would do this again!
