The cozy little getaway provides the perfect place to stay whether you want a jumping off place or you want to chill and relax. Within an hour drive are multiple ski resorts, and points/cities of interest including Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petosky, Mackinaw City, Cheboygan, Gaylord, Grayling and all other points north. There is ample room for vehicles and trailers to carry all snow toys. Just two miles away is the trailhead for the State Forest ORV trail system.
This cottage for any season is ideal for singles, couples, families or friends. Located about 35 minutes south of the Mackinac Bridge, 20 minutes north of Gaylord and just minutes from I-75 this cottage offers the perfect opportunity to discover all northern lower Michigan has to offer.
Nestled on a wooded site 100 yards from Wildwood Lake where we have deeded access for ice fishing, you walk up to the front door traversing a large deck and enter the cottage through the three season room. From there you enter the living room which is open to the kitchen which both offer views of the trees and the nature around. Natural gas heat for the winter and portable AC for the summer keep you comfortable all year long. Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed in the first bedroom, a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and twin on the top in the second bedroom and a pull out full size couch in the den. High speed fiber optic internet and Roku TV are available for you to use by logging into any of your subscriptions. We provide all bed linens as well as bath towels. The kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, full size stove, two coffee makers (a Keurig and a French Press), toaster, microwave, pots, pans and dishware.

Summary: Great place to stay, location is quiet and peaceful, close to trails, and all the amenities needed for cooking in kitchen or having a bbq. The remodeled bathroom is great and the updated front porch looks great as well! Our 3rd time staying there and will be back again next time we go to Wolverine.

Summary: Awesome little cottage! We were impressed by the warm hospitality and attention ention to detail. The accommodations was clean and tastefully decorated with an old school lodge feeling, providing a cozy and comfortable winter retreat throughout our stay as a matter of fact I ordered some flannel sheets like the ones we slept on there as soon as I got home! Vessnesa and Dave ensured we had everything we needed, and their prompt communication made the entire experience seamless. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to the main roads and northern Michigan attractions. Overall, we had a wonderful time I can't recall the last time my family sat at the same table for dinner and that made it worth everything! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable northern experience!

Summary: Definitely more a cabin than a house. Very cozy and homey. If you have a small family and don't mind it being a bit cold, this is a wonderful place to stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Summary: This was a very cute cabin. We were even able to get in a couple hrs early. We would definitely stay here again. The main bed was very comfortable too.

Summary: Very nice stay here. 4 of us went up in a little bow hunting excursion. Slept us all comfortably, good heat, nice shower and very clean. It’s less then a mile to the pigeon river forest which is where we were headed. Very accommodating, we asked to switch our dates and thankfully it wasn’t an issue. Very pleasant hosts. We will be booking again next fall!

Summary: We had a great, relaxing stay!! We had hoped to see more elk than we did but it was all good!! The fall colors were starting to turn and pretty where we spotted them!! Only one downside we struggled with the Roku tv setup, probably because we're not that tech savvy!! Thank you Dave & Vanessa for letting us stay at your cabin!!
