Positive: The location is amazing—just a few minutes' walk to the beach and a great playground, which was perfect for our morning walks with the kids. Supermarkets are also just a few minutes' drive away. The kitchen is spotless and fully equipped with everything needed for family meals, and we really appreciated that basic seasonings like oil and salt were provided. A huge surprise was the fresh welcome fruit; it made us feel so at home. The house is very clean with comfortable bedding, allowing us to have a wonderful rest. Highly recommended!

Negative: A quick heads-up for the host: the frying pan in the kitchen seems to have lost its non-stick coating. It’s quite sticky even with plenty of oil and requires multiple washes after frying an egg, so it might be time for a replacement. Also, it would be great to clean the dryer lint filter regularly to keep it running efficiently.

Summary: Overall, this is a perfect home for a short family getaway. Highly recommended!

Positive: The accomodation was great! We were not sure what would wait for us, cause it's a new accomodation on this platform(04/2026). But our expectations were exceeded. This appartement is ideal for four or less people. We spontanouesly got a Group of 5 instead of 4, but there was no problem to come with one more person as planned for the owner! We met him once we've got there and he was a friendly, welcoming and uncomplicated person. :) The apartement was perfectly equipped. There was a washing machine and even a dryer available. The kitchen had, a well Ranking fridge, freezer, oven, toaster, microwave and a dishwasher! Everything was quite new. The bedrooms were very cozy, enough room for our luggages and stuff and, most important, very tidy and all clean. As well as the bathroom, the kitchen and the living/dining room. It's just a 20min drive to the start of the Pouakai Track to Mount Taranaki and there is a supermarket about a 5min drive away. So the location is quite nice!

Summary: We had a great stay and would always come back. Thank you Kerry :D
